Cuz it's got mine lately.  

So I'm starting this new job, right?  Which was so random - call out of the blue from my previous employer, and it's working out well because someone else in the department is going on medical leave and can only work 2 days a week, so I'm taking the other 3.  We'll be sharing a desk, but she's actually an IRL friend so it's NBD, but, talk about perfect timing.

Then!  Today, I'm looking online for the second season of The Fall, and lo and freakin behold, it just premiered on Netflix!  Like, I watched the first season last week and had no clue when the second would be coming out.  Bam.



Just waiting for the other shoe to drop now....ugh. 


Anyone else wanna share something good?

Just got notification today that a grant came through to fund part of my position...which means I have more than one grant paying me, which means I'm up for promotion!!!

So earlier this week I saw my projected EOY leave balances for 2015, and the only way I was going to have enough time to take a full maternity leave was if I (1) didn't take any vacation or sick leave between now and giving birth and (2) didn't get pregnant for another 4 months. So I was sad panda and was thinking that I should maybe TTA for a few months if this cycle doesn't result in a BFP. BUT THEN yesterday Obama signed an order saying that all fed agencies have to advance up to 6 weeks of future sick leave to employees having a baby! Wheeee!!! Here I come summer vacay!!!

This morning at 10:00 a.m. I told my brother that some days I feel like I'd really like to sell my small business. It's worth a lot, though, and I didn't want to do the work to find a proper buyer.

He called me at 3:00 p.m. and said, "I just had an interesting late lunch. I've got a buyer for your business, if you're serious about selling it."

ETA: I just discovered a possible mistake I made at work that has HUGE ramifications. Grrr...
