JFC, I know it's the 4th. But tomorrow is a workday and kids are sleeping. Our neighbors are setting off fireworks and it sounds like it's in my backyard. I can already hear the baby waking up.
Yes, I know this is very much "get off my lawn" territory.
Fireworks were going loud and long, for about an hour. Then the sky lit up with a huge crack of lightning followed by the loudest thunder and down pour. Fireworks over. Lighting and thunder show started.
runningmommy519 I'm so sorry that it is happening. The absent seizures are very difficult to detect. It must be confusing for your DS too, coupled with being over-tired, it's not wonder the tantrum continued. I hope your pedi can have a look and find a way to make a definite diagnosis so you can perhaps explore treatment. From my understanding, the good news is the individual experiencing the seizure typically doesn't feel it. Often just feeling tired after. Keep us posted.

August 16, 2015 baby Boy M is born and our hearts melt!
I had things to say in reply to things, but then I forgot them. Sorry ladies, I suck at interacting tonight.
M woke up about 3:30 or 4. We got to the party in our friends neighborhood about 6. I figured I could get M to nap some in the Tula like I did last night. No dice. I don't know if it was the heat, distractions, or both, but he wouldn't fall asleep. At least until the fireworks started.

You are the second person to mention that a tantrum of that length of not surprising when this happens which makes me energy more suspect that it was. It's not uncommon for him to me extremely challenging after just waking up but 45 min is not his normal. In his 4 years of existence I have never ever seen one last that long.

Ethan is coughing so bad and sounds wheezy. No fever (at least not now). My lymph nodes hurt. I hope I'm not getting sick. When I call the pedi on the morning I'll be talking to them about both boys.
So the rain stopped within an hour and cue jack asses outside blowing up fireworks until well after midnight. Sounded like gunfire, right outside our house. Addie came running and crying to my room.
RandomName how was DD's day at DC? (I might have missed this, tried to keep up yesterday) . Hope it was good and she is excited to go back! Will she be going full time until you go back to work?

I was hoping to get more details out of DH but he didn't want to talk about it last night.
All I know if in-laws saw her this weekend and she looked very pregnant but we don't know the due date. When in-laws asked BIL about it, he said SIL didn't want "them" to know. I'm not sure if "them" means in-laws specifically or a universal any/everyone.
I told DH that I'm releasing this. I can't worry about it. I have no influence over the situation nor have any control over it. Nothing I do will change anything about this. At this point, they are being willfully ignorant about their choices. And not telling people is just to start drama for the sake of starting drama. Though I vaguely remember something similar when she was pregnant with #8.

In other news, I need to start thinking about DS1's birthday this weekend.
I was thinking about baking the cake (well, having DS1 help since he loves that). I think I'm going to run with a Thomas the Train theme. Like last year. It's like a religion in our house.

Thanks for asking! I don't think I made an update. She had so much fun. She didn't cry at all, and ate and slept like a champ. And pickup was the best - she as so excited to see me and made sure everyone knew I was her mama.
Today I was prepared to stay a few mins to help her adjust. Nope. She saw her friend from yesterday and took off to play. It makes it so much easier on me that she seems to love it. And they are playing with water today which she loves. And yep, full time from now on (except for construction holidays when she'll be home).
