Working from home today because I have to take DS to an appointment this am and it's screwing my whole day. It's a specialist appointment so I didn't really have a choice...
Sleep is getting harder and harder, I'm so tired today. I might nap with DS this afternoon.
I am so flippin' tired. Why do I feel like I need a day off to recover from the long weekend? It was fun but my house is trashed. H and DS camped out in the backyard Saturday night so there's still camping stuff all over my living room. I have loads of laundry to put away, the sink and counter are piled with dishes and I need to go to the grocery store. Halp.
Joining the tired party and my calendar the rest of the month is not going to help that much. Looking forward to a slow August (as of now anyway) before baby arrives.
Thank goodness I jumped on FB/MH had the radio on this morning while I was getting ready to leave for my appointment. My usual route had a tractor trailer jack knife and dump 100 gal of fuel on the highway causing a 2+ HOUR back-up. Thankfully back roads were perfectly clear.
LadyNymeria not to be a creepy stalker, but I think we are fairly close to each other. I think we might live/work in opposite directions. My daycare had a sign up about that accident warning parents, I go the opposite direction but I was working at home today anyway.
Also- been trying to do this for weeks but finally sold the office desk and moved my work stuff (I WFH 100%) downstairs. LO's room is taped and ready to be painted! As I was sitting taping the bottom baseboard it hit me... This will be my daughter's room! EEEEEEK
I have a stupid question. How do I get wrinkles out of chiffon? Steam it? The lazy part of me wants to spray some Downy wrinkle released but I'm afraid it'll ruin the material.
Steam it is probably the best way. Or hang it in the bathroom while you take a warm shower the steam from the water should do the work for you.

Haha, not a creepy stalker. I gave a pretty good account of the accident.
That's good you're the other direction. I was so lucky my back roads route connected to the highway right after where the accident was so I was able to skip all the traffic. Dr office said they had a ton of people calling in they weren't going to make it.
Yet I still had to wait in the waiting room 15 minutes after my appointment time before getting called back...

I do this a lot with wrinkled stuff.
Also, if the care instructions have it as dryer safe, I've occasionally thrown a damp face towel into the dryer with something that's wrinkled and then put it on a low heat dry. Take it out quickly, shake it out, usually seems pretty good. Save
Work shipped me a new laptop. After missing UPS twice last week, I finally got it today.
Turns out the technician completely missed the several different notes on my account that state I do not work from a corporate office and can only connect to the corporate network through the VPN solution. Big red letters on the piece of paper inside the laptop - you MUST be on the corporate network the first time you login to this workstation.
So I call and we discuss. Now I get to ship it back, wait 7-10 business days for it to get to them so they can hook it up, let me remote into it, then they'll box it up and ship it back (7-10 more business days). I'm guessing I'll have my new laptop sometime in August, maybe. Just in time to get everything all nice and set back up on it and ship the other one back before I go on maternity leave.
BTW, we started this process the last week of May.
My parenting is slacking so much already. Got home from swimming, DD is currently in her robe lying in my bed watching Tinkerbell and eating pizza while I clean up.
At least I put a blanket under her so she wouldn't spill. Way too lazy to wash sheets tonight.

I hate that about all dr and dentist offices. I get that it's easy to run late when you are dependent on patients to show up on time, but I've been the first appt before and have still had to wait.

I rolled my eyes so hard at this. Good luck with the next try.

So I got this new dress. It fits well and is comfortable. I asked my sister what she thought (my go-to style person) and she said she didn't care for the pattern. It's a bit old lady-ish to me, but I'm looking for more opinions. What does S16 think? sorry, I'm mobile, so that may be huge.
