I'm not TTC yet but the baby fever is creeping in. I have two girls. A boy next would be nice. Anyone have experience / success with shettles method or something else?
Not us. But I will live vicariously through anyone who is! We have to get our ducks in a row first. We were going to be in a new home for the next one.

Probably in the fall. I like the 2yr age gap so if we started trying around his first birthday we'd be looking at at least a 2 yr difference depending on how long it takes this time around. The boys are exactly 25 months apart to the day hahaha.

We may be leaning more toward 2. But, this is a tough topic for us b/c we can't just toss out the pills. We have to coordinate with insurance for testing and treatment. It could take a lot longer than we want. It's just a lot for us.

No clue. I'm mostly scared of having a bad labor experience again. Not that mine was all that awful in the grand scheme, but there were scary moments with my blood pressure and not progressing. So I'm not really ready for that.
Ready for little baby snuggles again? Yes. I never thought I would feel that way, but yeah, I could have a warm little baby snuggled up in my shoulder again and I wouldn't complain too much about it.

There is a part of me that wants a third, but I would want DS to be about 2 when we try. Also, I should not have a third. I'm not sure why it seems like a good idea lol
I could very easily get on board with a 3rd. Baby fever got the best of me after I had DS1 and now I can feel those squishy baby needs creeping up on me again with every teeny outfit I pack up. DH does not want anymore so I think it's going to take some time to convince him.

Missed the 2nd part of your post since I just jumped in after getting tagged. I had a teacher in school (for animal reproductive sciences) who discussed with us how she tried for a girl after having 2 boys by having sex prior to her ovulation date because in animals this technique is used to weed out males where having females is preferred (cow insemination for example). Since Y sperm are more fragile they die off faster so the number of X:Y sperm is more in favor of a female by the time the egg comes along. She said it worked out for her but admitted that it could have been a fluke since it's not proven in humans. But that would give no help if you are trying for a boy, only to improve your odds by having sex when there would be more Y sperm around, but still there would be statistically just as many X at that time though Y are said to be faster. But again, not a proven theory despite the research.

That is very similar to my understanding of shettles method. To get a boy, you would abstain until as close to ovulation as possible, to avoid having lingering X sperm when the egg drops. Then if you've timed it right (and it's true that Y sperm are faster), the Y sperm arrive just when the egg does so their fragility doesn't matter and the race is over before the X sperm arrive!
As much as I want cute baby snuggles...those days are over for me....2 and through here...Honestly I only ever wanted 2 anyway. I love the allure of newborns...but they grow up into crazy todddlers..and honestly, once DS is through that phase, I am not wanting to go again. Good luck to all those going again...I will be with you in spirit!

FFFC, I had my IUD taken out yesterday. We're NTNP until the new year. It doesn't mean much with our history of MFI, but we've taken the first step. I had to promise not to track or pressure him to BD b/c he has PTSD from the pressure of TTC E.

After mid week sex (what?!) I talked with DH more about me temping to avoid until we are ready to try, then we can ditch condoms after O is confirmed. I was surprised how on board he was with me temping again. He was one of those weird men who hated it while we were TTC. Anyone currently or btdt that can shed light on how rocky their charts were with motn wake ups?

Nope not here. DH will finally be home at the end of this month and we can concentrate on being a family of 5. I have an appointment to get an iud on the 1st. Haha so that's the opposite but we don't want an accidental post deployment baby. If we decide to have another we won't start ttc until P is 2 years old.
