Starting To research the best baby products, and most commonly registered items, what items do you guys swear by? Also if you use cloth, which diapers do you like the best.
Breasts, baby carrier, and yoga ball. I'm being totally serious. This is how we survived. Both our kids we're soothed really quickly when we bounced on the yoga ball with them. The $500 rocking chair? It's in the corner, unused. Plus the yoga ball is great for your last trimester when you need to open your hips up.
Baby carriers are a must in our house. They allow us to do chores, chase after R and when the baby sleeps on you, you're not stuck on the couch. You can move about to pee, eat, repeat.
I love bamboo wash clothes. They are organic and softer than cotton.
I'll second the baby carrier. They have been life savers for us. Especially when O was little and fussy.
We use cloth. You will find a lot of different recommendations on brands. Some of it is personal choice others is how they fit on your kiddo. We used Lil Joeys and Simplex in the newborn stage. I plan to get some workhorses and covers this time around as well. For one size we use prefolds, workhorses and covers and Rumparoos now.
If all of that is overwhelming (I've been there!) there are lots of videos on YouTube. Check out greenmountaindiapers.com and there is a good FAQ pinned over on the cloth diaper page here.
I realize that not everyone is into this but we bought as much organic stuff as we could. I'm still searching for an affordable rug option.
