So, I'm back on track with exercise. If you count two days in a row as "on track".
But, I'm there and committed to not making too big a fool of myself in a couple months. I'll be working out with some crazy gym rats for work and will do my best not to lose too much "gym cred". Because we all know that the number of push-ups performed is directed correlated with one's aptitude in the field they have trained/practiced in for years...
On a separate health note. Anyone into mindfulness practices?...meditation, yoga, walking/running, eating? I use a lot of mindfulness training in my work and find it extremely useful personally as well. I'm curious about if/how people got into it and what you do. I'm always looking to find ways to make my experience better.

At a previous company I worked for our HR team experimented with using a mind coach. To expand on that, this mind coach was to help us meditate, focus, find balance, and be more productive with less stress...

I am running, but inconsistent! Today I had a small victory in that I felt stronger running up the uphill portion of my run! Usually this is where my pace will slow, but I got a boost. I'm sure it's because I am working a different muscle group when I run uphill. So I may have gained some strength in that area!

Ran again this morning! My legs felt tired but by the 3rd mile I had loosened up a bit. Still not as much "pep in my step" as yesterday, but I'll take it! Every now and then I have a run when I'm completely in a zone and can go on forever, I think I'm over due for one of those!

I'm curious...what exactly did this mind coach have you all do?
I'm starting a ten day, 10 minutes/day mindfulness challenge. A co-worker and I are using an app to assist in facilitation, but my main reason (aside from my own benefit) is to be able recommend something of quality to people I work with who are considering incorporating more mindfulness practices into their lives. I haven't found a good app. I'm a Jon Kabat-Zinn fan, but he hasn't pushed out an app yet. His audiobooks aren't too expensive but cost prohibitive for ambivalent individuals.
