Morning ladies!!! Temporarily filling in for frenchteachermama while she's on vaycay in LA this week!! (Safe travels to and from, lady!!)
Welcome to the check in for those of us who are in our second or third trimesters! This is your place to let everything out: the awesome, the shitty, and your questions. So tell us:
How far along are you?
How are you feeling?
Rants/raves/updates?
QOTW: What meal are you most looking forward to post delivery?!
Morning ladies! This may be a PNR for now since I have a gazillion errands to run but will be back and try to LT an comment as soon as I can!
How far along are you? I can't believe it - I'll be 35/35 tomorrow!!!!!
How are you feeling? Pretty good - it's getting a little more difficult to move around as quickly (aka - slowing down quite a bit!) and the waddling has definitely intensified
Rants/raves/updates? Gonna pack my hospital bag within the next day or so and just count down until baby is here! Can't believe I think we have just about everything ready! Well, at least the essentials for a newborn - the nursery is still in the works, but according to our pediatrician, we still have until baby is about 2ish months before we start transitioning him/her to a crib in his/her own room Hopefully that'll be enough time to set up the crib!
QOTW: What meal are you most looking forward to post delivery?! SUSHI - hands down!!!!!!

How far along are you? 34+2, 4 weeks and 6 days until RCS!
How are you feeling? try asking again on a night when I got more than 6 hours of interrupted sleep . Apparently I'll be going into this newborn experience already exhausted, which is...erm...something.
Rants/raves/updates? DH is flying MIL out for a week. Usually that would be amazing news - she is kind, one of the hardest working people I know, and extremely helpful. Unfortunately she injured her shoulder about a year ago and now is fairly limited in what she can do. So I have someone who is coming to basically play with my bigs, but honestly what I miss most in this crazy busy time while DH is recovering [and his recovery has stalled from him overdoing it] is playing with my bigs. I feel like all I do is clean, make food for my family, make GD diet friendly food for myself, go to work, and look around and realize the whole house is a disaster and I just deep cleaned the kitchen 4 hours ago. I finally convinced DH that we should look into temporary house cleaning help. My parents will even pay for it for goodness sakes. Anyway, MIL's coming now means I have to figure out meals for next week that are easy, GD friendly, and everyone will eat. At least I reorganized the guest room about a month ago!
QOTW: What meal are you most looking forward to post delivery?! Lucky Charms or Italian ice. Can you tell I have GD?
How are you feeling? My hips hurt a lot and it makes it hard to sleep at night. But otherwise I can't complain.
Rants/raves/updates? They're doing demolition on the house across the street from us. So every day this week they have brought a gigantic dumpster and parked it in the middle of the street right in front of my house. Then they throw crap into it and it makes a huge dust/particle cloud. I'm so glad baby girl isn't here yet because this has to be an air quality issue. I reported them to the city but that really does nothing. I hope that they're at least quick if they're trying to cut corners like this. I'd like someone to be able to drive onto my street if I have an emergency or something.
Also DH just left this morning for a wedding in Boston and doesn't come back until Sunday. I'm praying that baby girl stays put until at least then.
QOTW: What meal are you most looking forward to post delivery?! A big old glass of red wine. FFTC I've been having sushi throughout the pregnancy so I would have said that otherwise. I figure if people get listeria from cantaloupe and salad then I can get high quality sushi from places I trust and probably have less of a risk of getting sick.
Woohoo gratefulgirl - less than five weeks till you meet your rainbow!!!! And ummmm...didn't we establish, no more cleaning for you?! Your MIL sounds lovely but I'm so sorry her injury from Last year has put her on physical limitations. Reading your plans for when she arrives, I'm already exhausted for you! Hope it all works out!
How far along are you? 38w tomorrow like ellebelle !
How are you feeling? Really wanting him to be here. Tired of contracting throughout the day and it leading to nothing. My feet and knees really kill me in the morning.
Rants/raves/updates? so I'm 80% effaced, 4cm dilated on the inside but the outside of my cervix is 5.
QOTW: What meal are you most looking forward to post delivery?! A real Dr. Pepper. I also really want an icee and hopefully Taco Bell is still serving the orange cream freeze because I want to try that also. Pretty much give me all the sugary drinks!

How far along are you? 36+5
How are you feeling? Feeling sore and tired. My hips and right side are always sore especially at the end of the day.
Rants/raves/updates? H rubs my feet almost every night. I love that he realizes how much I hurt and tries to help out.
Appointment with the OB today and a BPP. I have a few questions to ask and also i am going to have what I hope is a productive conversation with the office about ordering my breast pump... As far as I can tell they haven't done anything to move forward with ordering it. Its covered 100% and I want it ordered right away.
QOTW: What meal are you most looking forward to post delivery?! Hmmmm... Meal? I am not sure. I haven't been avoiding anything in particular but I would like to order my steak medium again.

Hope baby girl stays baked until dad gets home!! Also, when is the dumpster due to be removed? I can imagine how irritating it is to have all that dust flying around everywhere!
ETA: FFTC - Seeing your sushi during pregnancy confession and sarcaztic10's steak comment reminded me of my own food confession - I've been eating my steaks medium rare during this entire pregnancy. Although we haven't had steak often, but when we do, mine is always pink and tender in the middle

You guys are sooooo close!! And isn't 4cm dilated considered being in active labor?! An icee sounds fantastic right about now - today's heat index makes it past triple digits for us!

I miss wine.
GL at your appt today and with the BPP! Also re: breast pump - I had to contact my insurance company myself to order it. If your dr's office does it for you then that's awesome! Hope it gets ordered soon!! Annnndddd foot rubs are THE BEST!!! Go Mr. Sarcaztic!!!!
agpjt413 I just need the contractions to be timed and more intense.
Sounds like you are so close. FX the practice contractions are positioning LO for a straight-forward delivery when the time gets here, and that the time is soon. I know the prodromal labor can be so difficult.
FWIW I (and a few others I've run into) am one of the rare ones whose labor never goes into a pattern. Even in active labor after I was admitted to the hospital and things were getting real my contractions were at random intervals. So even if you don't see a pattern, if you see any other signs of labor - and TMI alert but mine was a good bit of bloody show around 4 c.m. - please go in.

Thank for letting me know. Otherwise this baby could of been born at home. Lol

They've been using a tow truck to drop the dumpster off at 8:30 and taking it off street at 4:30 every day. So at least it's not during the night but still. Ugh.

S barely passed his BPP because he was relaxing and sucking on his fingers.
The OB also said that his fluid levels have dropped a lot, from 15 last week to 9 this week, so she is having me come in earlier next week on Monday instead of Thursday.

FX it was just a fluke and that Monday shows a good result. I'm glad you're being monitored and I hope the time to Monday flies by with lots of reassuring movement in the interim!
