The Walking Dead- Discussion thread

Give me your thoughts on last night's brutal episode. It was an interesting choice for a mid-season premiere.

Spoilers will abound! Don't read any further if you haven't watched "What Happened and What's Going On".

Noah is the worst. The very worst.

Tricky tricky with beginning with a funeral. They got me with that one.

It was morbid but I thought, well at least they have someone to speak at all these funerals.

So many old cast members!

I was surprised that they didn't waste any time at all jumping right back in. I wasn't expecting a main character to die right away. And those little girls are creepy.

Usually the first episode back after the mid-season break is slow and getting us "caught up". I did NOT see that coming. I'm really sad about what happened, but he had become too soft. It was dangerous. He knew there was a little brother walker in the house, take care of biznass then get all sappy looking at pictures! And yeah Noah, can't even run outside and get help without getting into a bind and needing to be rescued. He's going to be dead weight.

I'm really curious how they're going to bring Morgan back in...maybe since he found that map saying DC was going to need Rick, he'll head that way and they will meet up!?

I agree it's all noahs fault! !! We lost beth and tyrese bc of him. Ugh.

I'm not a huge Noah fan but I think Beth and Tyrese can be blamed for their own deaths. Noah was involved, but it was through their own actions and inactions that they died.

I can't wait to see if the graffiti on the wall, torso zombies with W's on their foreheads and the wolves/dogs shown in the previews will all be part of the next big enemy. Also was the lingering shot of Glenn picking up the baseball bat foreshadowing something that happens in the comics?

I'm not a comic reader but I keep seeing this theory when I read about the show. I don't know what it means but the wolves do seem to become a danger.

I thought it was cool the way the episode showed clips of what was to come at the beginning and tied it all back in at the end (e.g. shot of the trees going by, the skeleton on the ground in the woods, the bloodied photo of the house in the picture frame)

Not that I'm totally glad to have lost Tyrese, but it makes for a more interesting storyline. If Noah had died, it would have been more predictable since he was very emotionally unstable when he got back to his community and there were many instances where he was vulnerable and could have been killed.

Cool to see all the old cast members, but shmee, I agree that those two girls are creepy!!

I felt this mid-season premiere was still so-so though, compared to something like the season premiere that started off at Terminus.

Hoping to see Negan show up at some point soon...

I hate Noah! He's such an idiot. First Carol is in the hospital, then Beth gets shot, now Tyreese!? He sucks!

But I agree, Ty became too soft. He should have taken care of little bro walker before perusing.

Renarene that baseball bat shot definitely gave me goosebumps! Though I think it's too soon for Negan, maybe they will just drop hints until the end. He's probably coming in season 6.

Yea they have some blame on their own but they were both trying to help him out . With tyrese I was just like really, 99.9% of the time those zombies are loud as hell and here he gets a quiet one lol.

I think it's possible that they sometimes show things like that just to get us talking. Also maybe it is a sign that Negan will become a character in the TV show at some point but Glenn might not meet the same end. They have a way of tying in some details of the comics while changing other things. Thank goodness or we wouldn't have Darryl!

I'm not overly sad about Tyrese. I mean, yeah, it's sad he died, but I kind of saw it coming. He was so fragile. Did anyone else notice when they were walking into the town, Tyrese was the only person who glanced at the skeleton and the bodies? I suspected something was up when they purposefully showed only him looking at the dead.

I haven't watched The Talking Dead yet, so I'm sure I"ll have more to say after I see that.

I feel like we just watched Tyrese die for an hour without really moving the story along.

Do you not watch the show love? They have commercials and Hatdwick talking on just about every break. Talking Drad is on right after (except this week because if everyone favorite dirty lawyer, Saul). It's a recap show.

I always record and fast forward commercials or people talking who are awkward. Sometimes it's hard to listen to the guests! Like when Marilyn Manson was on.

Lame episode!!!! I was disappointed, but I kinda expected it cause he died long before in the comics. I read the comics a few years b4 the show came out...they are better!

Just watched the episode. It was only a matter of time until he died... He made me so angry when he wouldn't kill the one termite in the beginning of the season... It was time for him to go, just surprised it was the whole plot of the episode.
