Add me to the "need housecleaners and to declutter" crew. I started to Konmari our house and DH was completely worthless. We started with clothing and he had about 3 times as many clothes as me because "he could still use it someday." Same with literally everything else I try to get rid of.
I started this with clothing too but lost steam because of life things. The whole "does it spark joy" mindset was really helpful in chucking things!
Having guests arrive soon was the kick in the pants I needed to get the house ready. Over all it looks good, probably 95% surface clean, but there's a ton of not obvious deep clean, get in the corner things that are irking me. Oh well, it's a start!
I have no motivation at work and I really hope I get to hear baby on the doppler today. Still paranoid even though I'm still having lots of nausea and now dizzy spells. FX that I pass my 1 hour glucose screen, I really don't want to start GD protocols this early (last time I passed at 7w and failed at 28w).
I wish I had a housecleaner but my SAH hubby actually does an awesome job. Yesterday he cleaned out the fridge since it was practically empty after our trip.
I'm itching to see the photos from the wedding reception but my mom's coworker did them and the photography is a side job so she said it would probably be a week or more. No one else really got many photos since she was taking 'good' ones.
I really hope your pictures come out great! Our experience with that was the opposite of good. My MIL hired a friend to do pictures and he was awful to deal with and his pictures were beyond mediocre. We have never even bothered to get any printed up and this year is anniversary #6. My mom asked a friend from church to just take some candid photos of everything since he didn't feel qualified to be our official photographer and his pictures were 100x better!
I'm so sorry to hear this! I have seen some of our photographer's photos shared by my mom and I trust that they will be quite good, if not great. She knew how to work her camera, when the light was good, and how to arrange people in the photos. Very easy to work with.
My friend took a few pictures with my camera at the courthouse and they are...not good. Oh well.

I tried to listen to her tidying audiobook. Something about the way the narrator came across was so condescending that I couldn't make it to the actual meat of the book. I feel like there are so many things in my life that are functionally useful or that I legitimately need, but that "don't spark joy". Maybe I'm doing it wrong because I didn't finish the book lol. (For example: Do my ugly boyshort undies spark joy? Hell no, but I know I'll need them post partum)
Omg the leg cramps thelittleredm! I got them sooo bad when I was pregnant with DD.
I mostly just had really bad sciatica pain with DS and restless leg. Luckily, the cramping stopped after about 15 minutes today.
ew - I had sciatica too. No fun. I would get the cramps mostly at night if I stretched my legs out. I had to mentally make a note to always stretch my legs with my feet flexed instead of pointed. That seemed to help. Can't wait for that to start this time around lol...
It's our third wedding anniversary next week. Any great gift ideas?
Hmmm, year 3.
Traditional: Leather. Belt Shoes (I got my H a new pair of running shoes. two years ago. He's yet to run in them, but wears them all the time!) Wallet Breifcase Nice gloves Journal
Modern: Glass/Crystal Bar glasses Wash the windows in his car for him (that's reaching, but I can't think of anything else for glass)
Or, if you don't GAF about themed gifts, what about a good old fashioned date night that you plan. Dinner and a movie in or out. Let him pick the movie.

Have been MIA for the last week or so, sorry! I drove the kids from MI to PA last Thursday, then from PA to NJ on Friday. We stayed until Tuesday morning then drove back. DH had to stay behind for work so it was a solo trip for us. It was such a great time there and the kids had a BLAST... but I'm so glad to be home and out of the farkin' car!
In other news, life is a whirlwind: we found a house, made an offer last week and had the inspection tonight! All is going smoothly, we're just requesting that they fix a few small things, nothing major. So excited, it's our first house!
Haven't had a chance to catch up on here, but will try to hop back on later tonight. Hope everyone is doing well!
Edited to add: Also had an appointment yesterday, but it was too early to hear a heartbeat so the whole thing was anticlimactic. Womp womp. Next time we'll be able to hear it though!

I only read a summary online so I'm sure I missed a lot of the details but I'm also someone who gets attached to random things so it helped me out to frame things that way. I only did my closet/dresser so I'm not sure it would in my kitchen where there might be useful but not joy inducing items.
