H thinks I should call the OB but I don't even know what I would say. Basically I am just super fatigued. I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open but also not really able to actually sleep. My body feel so tired, I just want to lay down. But I have reflux so I keep having to sit back up (with a lot of effort). I have a headache and I'm a little dizzy. I've barely eaten today but I'm having a hard time getting food down (not nauseous, just really not interested in food). I've been drinking water though.
I took my own vitals (I'm a nurse and I have equipment at home). BP and temp are normal, pulse was a little elevated but that's probably just because I'm stressed. The babies are moving tons and I don't feel any BH or contractions.
Is there any reason to call? Is this just normal pregnancy exhaustion or should I be worried about something?
I think it all sounds normal for pregnancy.... Especially third trimester and with twins! But if the worry is causing you a lot of stress then you should for sure call

Honestly I'd prefer not to call because I don't have the energy for a hospital trip. But I don't want to ignore a potential problem.
I got a surprise cervical check on Wednesday. My doctor announced I was 0 cm dilated. She said she was primarily checking to make sure baby was head down. I guess 0 cm is good for 35 weeks bc it's early but it is still kind of discouraging like hopefully my body picks it up soon

I have been getting horrible horrible sleep at night because of all the reflux & discomforts. Then I am also falling asleep during the day but then at the same time cannot get good sleep. It's a vicious cycle! I definitely do not have the appetite that I once had, like I couldn't even tell you any pregnancy cravings that I've had. I'm not a nurse so I don't want to tell you everything is fine of course but it sounds like all is good regarding blood pressure and baby movement. What else would they check for?

I chuckled at this. I imagined her all cheery and saying yup, your body was doing absolutely nothing!! Thanks, doc?
hrushka, sorry you will have to be induced, but it sounds like you will be in good hands. I don't have any experience with inductions but I love my epiderals!
Re: Group B Strep swab.. My doctors have always done mine and if she swabbed my butt I didn't feel it! I think she just did a vaginal swab.

hrushka I'm sorry you have to be induced - I know it's not what you envisioned, but you will be great! I had pitocin with DS and it really wasn't awful. He didn't seem to have any adverse effects. I'm also a huge fan of the epidural - it was magical.

Yeah, maybe it's just all the nights of shitty sleep catching up to me.

Don't get discouraged!!!!!
I was 0 cm at 36 weeks with S1 and he was born at 37 weeks.

So I'm 36w tomorrow & supposed to be induced at 39w. Could be earlier if anything drastically changes. And I cannot bring myself to pack a hospital bag still. I hate packing with a passion!
hrushka I'm sorry you're disappointed about not potentially getting the labor/birth you had envisioned. Just remember, however it happens it will be uniquely yours and how you brought your baby into this world I had pitocin with DD1 and I'll admit...I am not a fan. But it looks like not all ladies here thought it was terrible, so you never know!
bocaburger I have had a few off days in the last few weeks where I just felt like total crap. I'm an RN as well, and did the same as you - checked my vitals. All was fine, so I chalked it up to a bad day and did end up feeling better after rest and food. However, I'm not pregnant with twins and I'm a firm believer in mother's intuition...it never hurts to call for peace of mind. Hope you feel better soon.
Team no GBS swab in my rear. I do think my doctor lightly grazed the area, but it certainly never went up there!

hrushka - sorry for the craziness, but so glad they are monitoring baby. I have always been pro-epidural after 4 cm for myself because I felt I would be one of the people who it helps and studies show it does not raise the c-section rate in the overall population (but it does for some I know and you have to go with your gut and your trusted medical professionals). But I know there are great reasons to go med free for many. I hope you find what is right for you!
I'm being super lazy during naptime and sitting on the couch watching baby dance around in my stomach. Entertainment, I tell you. But I think I'm seeing practice breathing movements. It's so subtle and rhythmic I feel like that's what it has to be. I never noticed it with my other babies.

bocaburger At least keep a close eye on yourself and call if it persists, because you're right, you never want to ignore a potential problem. When talking to the dr or nurse I would stress the overwhelming fatigue you're feeling and your inability to eat (and that these are new symptoms).
This. I normally LOVE the Florida summer heat but pregnancy makes me hate it. And we've been having record freaking highs. Our normal temps are hot enough!

DS has not taken one single nap outside of his car seat since I finished the school year on June 15th. We cannot be done with naps at almost 2 1/2. Not fair.

I'm with ya. I never pack for a trip until the night before or day of, so this totally unnatural for me. I did finally get a duffle bag out last weekend. I think it contains two items so far. I've promised myself I'm going to get as much as I can in there this weekend (though I feel like so much of it is stuff I use regularly and will just have to toss in at the last minute anyway).

Yeah I guess that's part of my issue! I only have so many items that fit right now and they need to keep being cycled through the wash. And by fit I mean fit my butt sooo it's not like that's just going to magically go down pp. So the bring something that fit early-mid pregnancy doesn't apply to me
I'm going to punch the next person that tells me how sleep deprived I'll be when baby is here & how I should get all the sleep right now. Sounds lovely in theory except between peeing 8+ times a night, bad acid reflux, back pain, crazy hot flashes, mega congestion ...there is hardly any sleep going on over here. I'm exhausted. I just take each day as it comes & ppl saying it will only get worse is super annoying (even if it's true)

DD was done with naps recently at 2 1/2 I feel your pain!
