We are considering moving C to a regular rear facing convertible car seat but I'm not sure what to do with her if we go out to eat. She doesn't like being worn if I'm sitting. Those of you who don't have the baby carrier, what do you do with lo if you go out to eat? Is there something we can use until they are big enough for a high chair?

I know this isn't super helpful, but 99% of the time we have to take V out of the seat anyway because she doesn't like sitting in it not moving. So we usually will switch her back and forth between the two of us, with the free person engaging DS.
We usually take J out of the bucket seat and put her in the stroller because she doesn't love the seat. Most places we go can accommodate her stroller being pulled up next to the table.
We haven't taken DS out to a restaurant, but I often eat dinner at home with him sitting on my lap. He likes watching everyone eat. When DD was his age we would keep her in the stroller by the table but would usually end up having to hold her.
