i need to go on a FB break. i was surprised at how many racist things i saw in my newsfeed yesterday. as a white mother of a black child, i felt it was my duty to go toe to toe to these people, and am now exhausted. i just cannot. i know these people will continue to argue with me today, but i don't know how much more time i can spend away from my child to fight fire with fire. i think i may find another way to make change, like getting involved with BLM.
on a lighter (and totally unrelated...) note, i'm finally feeling pregnant. i've been pretty detached from this pregnancy because of beta hell and brown spotting, but my cramping is starting to feel more legit and waves of nausea are actually perking me up. i can't wait for monday's ultrasound to give me some clarity about WTF is going on in my ute.
Now we're all up. I'm going to have a CTJ meeting with DH. He was supposed to clean up cause I went to bed early and he didn't. I'd let it go if it was a rare thing but this happens everytime I ask I'm this is not going to fly with another kid.
nobb14 I've learned people really suck. A lot. I'm sure it's harder for you. Sorry, lady. I'm glad you aren't remaining silent, though. Hopefully people are learning from you.
@nobbs14 I deactivated my Facebook about 8 months ago and it was the best decision I've ever made. I honestly don't miss it. But basically Insta and Snapchat have replaced it for me. And Twitter for news.
muskiefan I want to go to the zoo so bad! It's been too hot lately so I haven't gone yet this summer.
@priss08 sorry YH didn't do his part. Different kinds of dirt bother MH and I and I think we end up annoying each other with it. He hates clutter and I hate dirt. We try to be aware but it's a work in progress.

ugh, I feel the same way about Facebook. I can't stand racist assholes. As the wife of a Mexican immigrant, I get super heated about the dumb shit people post, especially related to race and immigration.
But I'm super happy to hear you're feeling more pregnant! I'm not requesting morning sickness at this point, but it might make this whole thing feel a little more real. I had a major mood swing this morning and yelled at mh. Does that count as a pregnancy symptom? And does it still count if he deserved it?
i saw a meme on FB that was like "america doesn't need a huge wall. it needs a big mirror to fucking look at itself." i couldn't help but laugh at the sad truth...
and yes. mood swings definitely count as a pregnancy symptom, and let's be serious, husbands ALWAYS deserve it

DH just woke up. I said that I was hungry, and he answered that we have no breakfast food. He decided he wants donuts, so he's on his way out. We have nothing planned for this weekend or next weekend, other than kegging his beer and maybe brewing mine. I have to brew it because I bought liquid yeast, which won't last until March. Thinking about tweaking the recipe to make it ready about the time baby comes so I can enjoy it too.
I'm debating if it's worth driving completely out of the way to blow out appointment to pick up Chickfila on the way, I'm leaning towards yes since I can't have a mimosa but I'm also feeling lazy and don't want to leave early. Such a predicament
Sorry about facebook, nobb14 , I have had far, FAR too many frustrating conversations today through it. Don't be afraid to just avoid it for awhile; it's exhausting to keep trying to educate people who are stuck in their ways.
Fearsy have fun at lunch today. Hopefully the nap schedule doesn't interfere too bad.
@justinslovo crap- this sound terrible. I hope it clears up fast!
So I was able to tell my mom yesturday at her big bbq party. She was so excited and I was so relieved she knew. She helped me with hiding my non-alcoholic drinks all night. I think we fooled everyone this time.

French Toast in a mug for breakfast!
We ended up doing none of our plans yesterday, so we will try to get them done today. DH got a haircut and we went to Buffalo Wild Wings instead. DH is trying to convince the baby to make me crave chicken wings.
