Anyone have any ideas on how to get your kid to stop shoving things up their nose? Declan's new favorite game is attempt to shove every piece of food up his nose before eating it. So far today we have had corn, broccoli, chicken, and a tomato in our nostril. I foresee doctors visits to extract foreign objects in my future if I don't figure out how to get him to stop. Any attempts to stop him or get it turn into a game with him laughing at me. I'm afraid to ignore it and he gets something lodged up there. Any thoughts?

I haven't dealt with this but anytime either girl starts playing with food- the food is gone. I just take it away and put it in the refrigerator for later, if they get hungry later.
deeds1017 I thought of that but I'm afraid he will choke. He's still about 50/50 with actually biting and chewing. He's a savage when he eats. This is his new look

Ha ha, so cute! Lillie recently discovered the holes in her face too, and is constantly putting her fingers up there too. Thankfully no food (yet?) LOL. When DS was about 3 we were driving on the freeway and he stuck a raisin up his nose and then started to freak out. I had to get off at the closest exit, pull over and plug one nostril and have him blow. That raisin flew across the car! It was scary enough to him that he never stuck anything up there again (except his finger of course).

Lillie is so much better. I never thought her drinking water would be so exciting, we totally cheer and clap and dance around when she does! The thought of going to the hospital for an IV is so scary!
Carters has 50% off anything. I got an email with an additional coupon for 20 or 25% off so much spent. The children's place is also having a sale if you shop used and have a once upon a child near you they have an additional 20% off tomorrow.

I got 6 pairs of jeans for $39 at children's place on Friday. I don't particularly care for their shirts but their jeans are really good. I think Osh Kosh also has a sale.
As everyone knows D has some communication issues. Today when her straw cup was empty she brought it to the fridge and tried to open the door. I finally know when she needs more milk.....hooray
