I just had someone ask me if I'm pregnant. She was joking, but it still caught me off guard. I'm working today and was telling a coworker how DD2 started walking early at 10 1/2 months. She said, "Are you pregnant again?!" Apparently there's an old wive's tale that if your LO starts walking early it means they're getting out of the way for a new sibling to come.
That's rude to ask when they know you have a young one at home.
Also, I've never heard that wives tale. It was the opposite for me. I was pregnant with DS and DD didn't walk until after 1. Now, DS is walking and not pregnant. Although it wouldn't be upset if I were.
redandblue it's so hard when our animals make us nervous. Because , well, they're animals, they have big teeth and can do real damage if they misbehave. Molly actually used to be well behaved. She's always been a little intense around kids (wanting to lick them) but she's been through a bunch of training because we wanted to try to avoid the situation we're in now. Is your moms dog treat oriented? Maybe your mom takes her on a walk and everytime she sees another dog she gets a small piece of ham (or any really good treat) after awhile she may start to associate other dogs with the best treats. I think I'm going to start something similiar in molly's training so that she associates w with pleasure (food). Hopefully your moms dog starts to calm down around your dog.

So I opened my blind and look at this creeper staring at me. It sat there for a while I started thinking it was stuck. Too bad my DD was already at daycare she would have loved this.
Interview Ing via Skype was hard. Harder than I thought. So concerned with how I looked and presented myself. Lots of fidgeting. I was slightly confident. And thought I was the only one moving onto this stage of the process. At the end he said there was still another candidate and what not. Completely lost my confidence at that remark. I just don't think interviewing is a great skill I possess. Plus I am not sure how I feel about my results from the personality test. I don't agree with some of the results and I don't think they protest me in a good light. Other parts of the test nailed it perfectly.

E apparently has a deep eye set making it look like he's cross eyed. Clean bill of health for his eyes for now. But I guess they can tell he'll need glasses someday.

@janetheconquerer skype interviews are tough. It's like, in an in-person interview you cannot see yourself. But when you have the little view of yourself it's easy to lose focus a bit. Also, it's odd bc you can't really impression manage as well because you aren't in person.
I am really bad at personality measures - partly bc my degrees in psychology but also bc I modify responses for the result I think I want. It essentially makes the measure invalid. Hopefully they don't put too much weight on it. From my experience, my friend designs these for the hiring process for big oil companies, they are mostly looking at only a few things - E.g., retention likelihood, team fit, honesty/intregity not necessarily the whole thing.
Argh. There's a disconnect between my boss' reality and actual reality. He seems to think I can make magical things happen and I'm just holding out. (reduce the cost of goods and services! Find extra money in out operating budget! Change the space-time continuum so that people can be in two places at once and there are also somehow more than 9 hours available between 9am and 6pm!)
skinandbones, jamming out to foo fighters and my H is like who are you? (We are out playing golf and I also played Dave Matthews and killers) but first time I've taken control of the music. I said I was going back to my roots and it's about time...lol
But it made me think of you. Because we're like soul mates when it comes to stuff like this....haha

tuscanlatte yay! I love and use mine all the time. It really makes cooking/baking easier. The attachments are also amazing!
I'm so excited! And I love the bright colour. I'm so impressed he fought his urge to have everything matching in neutral colours. Haha this is a big variation on that.
tuscanlatte Ooh, nice! I love the look of that mixer.
So Ida's rash spread all over, and the doctor finally called back and confirmed that it's roseola. Yaaaay. Baby's first identifiable virus! I'll go put it in her baby book.

DD had roseola around this time when she was younger. It lasted 3 days I believe.
RandomName 3 days for the whole thing or just the rash? She first started acting sick on Wed, had high fever Thurs/Fri/Sat, somewhat better Sun, then crazy rash today. Even if the rash does last 3 days, I'm just glad the fever is gone. Over 103 scares me.
