I expected pottermore to be a little more amazing. It's been a while since I've been on, but I was way disappointed. I thought JKR totally slacked toward the end and gave way less new information as time went on just to get it over with.
I still dream of an HP encyclopedia where she tells us everything.
Oh and is this where I admit that when pottermore first started, I figured out how wand sorting worked so I knew which answers gave you which wand? And if you told me your wand, I could tell you your answers. Because magic!!!

Am I remembering correctly that you scored the highest on that super hard HP quiz on M15?
If so, I was impressed. If not, I was impressed by someone else.

I really wish my HP game worked on my Mac. I used to play it all the time when I was a kid. When there was a part in the dungeon I had to turn the sound down and sit as far back from the computer as possible because it was too scary lol

Oooh I totally forgot about that. I don't remember the quiz but I do know all the things about HP.
Now thanks to this thread I'm going to go spiraling on Pottermore as soon as my kid goes to bed...
I just spent 2 hours reading this whole thread. HP is my comfort read as well. The last time I read the whole series was when I was pregnant with DS and needed something to calm my anxiety.
I am a Slytherin! Every test puts me there. I used to be appalled by it, but now it feels right. Slytherin for life! Where is the Hogwarts house poll?? Lol
I get the Slytherin hate, but I did think there were times it felt a little excessive in the books. In the 7th book, it was all like, "everyone stayed behind to fight for the school! Except for the evil Slytherins..." NOBODY stayed? Meh.

Yep me too, I always get Slytherin every time I've taken the poll on Pottermore (I may have retaken the test to verify it wasn't broken a time or two).
It was a bit shocking for me because I always thought I was a Ravenclaw. I questioned everything!!! But now I think we just get a biased account of the houses because the series is from Harry's perspective. The houses are more nuanced that just "brave, loyal, intelligent, cunning." I mean all Slytherins can't be bad right?

And on the 24th day of the 12th month,God said "let there be sass" but the universe wasn't sure whether or not he said sass or ass and so Louis Tomlinson was created
I did the test again on the link provided. I was a Ravenclaw still but Slytherin was close behind! I can own that. I know nothing about the American houses. Never even heard of it before this thread.
I want to be all "the American House names are DUMB!" but I guess so are the Hogwarts' names, they just sounded less silly to me when I first heard them because I was a child.

The American houses are stolen from Native American stories.

Huh. Here, in fact, is a pukwudgie: A Pukwudgie is a 2-to-3-foot-tall (61 to 91 cm) being from the Wampanoag folklore. Pukwudgies' features resemble those of a human, but with enlarged noses, fingers and ears. Their skin is described as being a smooth grey, and at times has been known to glow.

My local symphony just announced they're doing a Harry Potter film concert series this fall and I immediately forwarded the link to my H and blocked the dates on our google calendar. #relevant
I bought tix to ours less than a minute after I got the email...
