Over Christmas I got suckered into doing this Foam Fest obstacle run with my SIL and it's finally happening on Saturday. I've been you tubing the obstacles this morning and picking the ones I plan to avoid - I feel like such a lazy person. How do people do so many of these each year?
The daycare director is having us come in and meet E's new teachers in the toddler room this morning. other than that it's supposed to be really hot here so I think we'll be staying inside to play today. I might try to work on some classroom stuff for school if E can occupy herself for a little bit.
My brother's dog, Lucy, died on sunday. They got Lucy from me, she was out of my first litter. She was such a good dog, so calm, and so loving.
I cannot stop crying. For three days, I've been sobbing at the drop of the hat.
I know it's just a dog, but she was on this earth because of me. I almost punched this annoying kid we know that works at the restaurant in town, I was on the brink of crying into my hamburger, and he suddenly, as a joke stole DH's hat and put it on his own head. like that, sad turned to pissed. I think I scared him when I told him to get that hat off his head.
My work is sucking the (battery) life from my phone. I've only been here for 3 hrs and already at 67%! (This is the first time I've used the Internet today. Ugh)
@quintstar I'm so sorry about your brothers dog and your litter pup. More than just a pet- they are a part of the family and they take a peice of your heart with them. So many hugs.
My dad came over for dinner last night, sort of impromptu. We decided to tell him since my mom knows. My mom said it would make him so happy and my DH convinced me he would be crushed if he found out from someone else.
He was so happy- couldn't even talk for a few minutes after. He kept saying to himself "my baby is having a baby".
I so hope this is it for us. Please grow baby.
So now my parents know and 3 close girlfriends. I really need to keep my mouth shut now for a while. It's so hard.
I'm at the dr for my third round of betas and I'm trying not to fall asleep. I realized this is my 7th week in a row having some sort of appointment or lab work here, I'm thinking it'll be nice to get to cut back to once a month appointments
Daycare visit went well. The director is a wonderful lady who is super passionate about what she does. I didn't want to break it to her that we pretty much picked them because they are the only daycare in town that takes infants and so pretty much our only choice a year ago. E is happy there, we're happy with it, but there weren't a lot of options a year ago.
I more excited that we are starting E back a week early so I will have some time to myself. I've already got a back-to-school pedicure and haircut lined up!

Fearsy I'm with you on the naps. I have to hold him if we're home, I may be able to lay him on the couch but the crib he flips his shit! I hope something clicks soon because I won't be able to this forever!

Wednesday confession: I have a feeling I'll be replacing my cup of coffee w soda... I'm not a big soda drinker and I know it's not good for us but I need the caffeine/sugar. I hope it's only until 2nd tri 😐
@ daisylola11 you have to do what works!! I can't go without caffeine. I just thank my lucky stars that DS is STTN bc I can't do much with this exhaustion.

I've been doing sweetened black iced tea from Starbucks. It's not as hard on my stomach but it gives me an energy boost.
