I'm surprised no one started this yet! I kind of disappeared yesterday with a migraine I didn't see coming that knocked me flat for half the day- well as flat as I could get with a 12 month old running around the house and tearing up the place lol. Thankfully my DD was helpful in playing with him and letting me rest as much as I could. Today we had Liam's needles and he was so sad afterwards, he just snuggled and nurses for two hours after his apt. Poor little love. And then the nurse called to schedule my specialist apt in the city- August 11. Holy crap that feels so soon! I'll be 17weeks then, wut?!

I was also surprised no one started the randoms today!
I'm telling my boss tomorrow that I'm KU and I'm nervous. I have absolutely no idea why either. I know he'll be happy for me but I also know it'll throw the team for a loop since they just spread the work around when people are out on leave, which just increases the burden on my co-workers. I just want to get it over with so I don't have to worry about it anymore.
I'm mentally and physically blah today. I napped on the couch and DS was a rock star with the independent play. Usually he brings books over and drops them on me when I try to rest. However the library is now a wreck. Random: We call our family room the library solarium. It started out as a joke but it stuck. It's very sunny and is full of books so it works.

I'm starting to mend from the bug I had at the beginning of the week. I'm hoping to catch a break soon. My husband works all weekend which I hate but we sure need the money. With our vacation and a couple unexpected bills things are a little tight this month. Thanks for reading my dear diary post.
DD and I have had a great day. We went to the children's museum and had a great time. She managed to stay awake for the car ride and took a nice nap once we got home. Which means I also got to take a nice nap, which was much needed. Now we're just relaxing with an episode of Sesame Street.
ashtog I'm glad your DD was able to help out yesterday. Migraines are he worst!

Thanks ladies!
meeggaannw, I'm glad it was more of a bug than just pregnancy sickness that's been bothering you so much. I hope the weekend goes smoothly while your H is away!
jrun2013, there isn't much better than being able to coordinate naps. Glad you were able to rest!
I had conference calls I had to present on at work, the second one was just weird. It's so hot here, the AC has been up all day. I am so glad tomorrow is Friday!!!
I have 2 pairs of summer shorts left that fit, both are dirty, not doing laundry today so I'm suffering in some tighter shorts. I may run to target tomorrow to see if they have anything.

Good luck tomorrow summergirl1211. I was super nervous about telling my boss as well but you'll feel much better/ relieved once you do.
DS and just dropped my mom off at the airport. We stopped at the playground across from the runways to watch some planes land and now we are headed home.

peaseblossom55, I found a bunch of comfy, elastic waist band shorts at target a few weeks ago. I saw that they still had them yesterday so hopefully you can snag a few pairs at your store!

Thanks, I assume you mean adult sizes, but with the bump now I may be able to fit into adult sizes. I love that Target is 5 minutes from my home.

Yup, adult shorts. I bought myself like four pairs. I am not ready for mat clothes yet but some of my shorts are tight so picked up some stretchy shorts for the summer.

I was hoping to avoid buying maternity shorts, so anything stretchy is perfect. :-)

I'm nervous about telling my boss and my team about this pregnancy. Last time we had one extra person in the group (5) and they managed okay without me. Being down to 3 will be pretty rough, and it's during one of the busier times of year for us. We may have to hire a temp to cover some of the load, which we've never done before. My current boss is much more stoic and doesn't care about our personal lives like my former boss, so I'm not expecting a big happy reaction from him.

silvermelody, when do you plan on telling them? I think it's awful how stressed we get about having to tell work that we are pregnant. I was literally tossing and turning the night before I told my boss. And, I still feel guilty about it! Wtf.

ashtog, I'd be completely down with seeing that movie without kids!
One of the sales people asks me on a daily basis now if I'm ok in the afternoons because I'm so pasty. I keep telling her I'm just sleepy but I'm pretty sure it's just that the circles under my eyes stand out due to my whiteness.
It feels awesome to know people think I look like shit by the afternoon now. /sarcasm

heybulldog56 I'm planning on telling them after our Harmony results come back, assuming they come back with everything normal. They should be back by next Friday, so probably the following Monday. I'll be ~14 weeks.
ashtog possibly? my company hires temps all the time but my department has never hired one because this job has a huge learning curve and it usually takes 2-3 months to really get productive at anything (I do very specialized tech support). But we could possibly train them to answer the easiest questions via email and do equipment returns and not answer the phone...it would be better than nothing?
