So as I've mentioned in my last several post/comments, I am having severe sciatic pain and omg it is unbelievable. It's barable sp? when I am at home. But the drive to work then sitting in a chair (I work in a call center) it baking it like black out painful. I have tried different chairs. Standing up for periods of time. Seeing a chiropractor the last several weeks. Taking Tylenol. Stretching. Heat. Cold. The rest of the time I just collapse in tears. My husband has to help me dress in the morning. Has to help me into bed at night. He is like I know you hurt but damn the neighbors are going to think I'm beating you. Omg I'm sorry this is so long. Has anyone asked there dr to take them off work? I have an appointment next Thursday. I thought about peeing the bed the other night because it was that or insane pain if I attempted to get up. I've never felt anything like this before. I just don't want to go to my dr and sound like a whiney baby and be told this isn't a valid reason/issue.
Whoo thanks for reading. I just want to know your experience or what you think.

I'm sorry you're hurting so bad With my first pregnancy I was having lots of issues with uncontrollable contractions, so they limited my work availability. I usually work 12 hour days, they limited me to 6. While it was a ROYAL PITA to get everything straightened out (short term disability paperwork, scheduling issues, my pay was messed up, etc), once I cut back I felt so much better. Both physically and mentally. You do whatever is best for you and that little baby you're growing. If that means cutting back or not working at all, so be it.

I feel you, well kinda. Most days I can deal with it, but it's gotten much worse over the past week and I was up crying much of the night last night. If you have a foam roller, try it. I rolled my ass a couple times, and the following day was feeling better. My pain is mostly on the right side so I had my right leg crossed over my left knee (kinda like how guys sit) and I sat on the roller with my arms on the floor behind me and rolled over the spot for about 30 seconds.
Also, I have Sombra warm therapy pain relieving gel. Their website says it's safe to use while pregnant and I got the ok from my OB just to be safe. I rub it all over my bum and it helps some.
I also heard that you shouldn't over stretch because that can aggravate the nerve.
Other than that, I take tylenol a couple times during the day if it's really bad and tylenol pm at night.
And, avoid sitting on hard surfaces. Maybe sit on a pillow?
I really feel for you. I don't have a job so I have more freedom to lay down if I need to, but I understand the driving thing. We did a bit of driving this weekend and it was awful.
I live in Missouri. The company I work work are a bunch of but heads about everything. I'm going to just talk to my on about it at my next appointment. Regardless I have to survive at least four more weeks. Because that's all the short term disability will even cover.

I agree with pippacricket. In all likelihood it is just baby pushing on the nerve, but it could be something more causing a bigger issue. At the least, they might be able to give you some stretches or something that you can try.
Well I ended up going in. I basically cried a bunch. The constant pain is getting to me. They gave me a script for flexoral, any one use that? Also I go to a philysocal therapist now. I then started crying because taking anything while pregnant makes me nervous. But if this doesn't work they will be able to write me out of work like 4 weeks early. So at least that's kind of like a positive
