Thanks u ladies are great. I hadn't even thought about multiple pumping sets/bottles k3am.... Guess i need to get on that
My schedule is wack in that i never work more than 2 full days in a row. So the first day i guess i will send frozen, second day fresh. Then i have random part-days thrown in there. I never realized how chaotic my work schedule is...

Thanks guys! Today is hard. I cried when I drove to work. But I know they're with my mom so it's not terrible. I don't even want to think about next week with daycare.

Is anyone doing anything to prep their babies for daycare? I tend to be more about following babies cues but I know the reality is that he will need to have some sort of structure/routine at daycare. We have an evening routine but really nothing during the day. He eats and sleep when he wants. We just started putting him down swaddled in his bassinet for afternoon nap last week but it's not working real well.

I haven't yet, but need to I think. Im especially trying to figure out the morning routine so I can easily get out of the house and get him to daycare. Right now he sleeps with me from 4:30-7 and I can't get him to sleep anywhere else. But when I go back I'll be needing to be getting ready within this time somehow.

I'm trying to make sure she gets a feed each day from a bottle to make sure she is ok with it. I am going to start tracking her naps and nursing sessions so daycare knows what her normal is.

He just did an hour for a nap. And I put him down drowsy, not asleep. I continue to be surprised at how much easier he is than DD as a baby. This makes me less nervous about the daycare transition.
We just survived our first day of daycare. The only info/schedule I had for them was ; she sleeps every two hours and I could tell them what time she would be tierd by based on her wake up time. I feed on demand, usually every 2 hours sometimes longer if she ends up napping. I asked them to wait for hunger cues because she hadn't been taking a bottle well for us and probably would need to be hungry to take It. She took small amounts from the first 3 bottles ( 1.5 to and 1 ounce) but finally took the full 2 ounce bottle at the end this makes me so happy. I figure she will map out her own schedule now that we have a guaranteed wake up time in the AM. I will try and follow her eating schedule if she develops one, but for now on demand is fine for me. VERY different than how I was with DD1 - I came in with an eating and sleeping schedule. Much more laid back this time around. Eventually I would like an every 4 hour schedule for eating.

Nope. We didn't with DD either. They'll get him on a schedule and we'll try to mimic it at home as best we can. Mainly because they'll have him 5/7 days a week, so they can take the lead.

+1
With DS they did whatever worked (safely of course) the first week or so to make sure he was sleeping and eating and then got him on a schedule that we then followed. I'm bummed my favorite provider from the infant room won't be there with DD since her husband got deployed and she moved to be with family for help with her kids. She was amazing with DS and used to feeding EBF kids so she managed to almost never waste milk. One of the woman is the same and I really liked her also but wasn't as close with her. Of course DD is starting on a week where she will be on vacation so there might be more of a learning curve this time but DD is definitely an easier baby than DS so hoping it goes smoothly.

Glad it went well! I'm sure she'll fall into a routine with them eventually.
Our daycare is on a huge office campus and is merging with the other daycare there into one big daycare. No one is losing their job, so that is great. The new building looks amazing. So DD will go when the new place opens. I saw my favorite teacher there. (she actually had DS in the infant room at his first daycare which closed bc budget problems.) I LOVE her. She said she'll be in the infant room so I hope DD is in her room as I believe there is more than one infant room. I will specifically ask for her though. I don't feel as scared to drop DD off as I was with DS - probably because I've come to know all these people in the last 3 years.

I'm giving daycare and my sil a typed out schedule with notes. But they're on a feeding schedule that has to be followed. Their naps are still all over the place but I have a general feel for them.
I just have to share - I think we've found a bottle that LO will take!!!! Yay! The first 2 days she only drank an ounce here and there for a grand total around 4oz throughout the day yesterday I sent the one Avent Natural bottle I had and she drank all of her ounces I sent from that! Woo hoo so some $60 later, I bought all new bottles yesterday. Makes me glad I didn't buy new bottles or even new nipples right away - I would be pissed! So happy she ate and I'm wonder if her awesome day of eating led to her awesome night of sleep? I guess we will see if it repeats today and tonight!
