Hello, friends! I participated in the brand new board wide check-in, so thought I'd go ahead and formally introduce...myself Yeah, baby, yeah.
The short version is that I'm carrying a rainbow.
very long version: We started TTC in 2012 and I was diagnosed with PCOS. We got pregnant our first round of clomid, but that pregnancy ended in a loss. We moved to an RE and conceived in the first round with Femara to get our beautiful rainbow, BBQ (baby boy Q since I was Q.fru mp at the the other place) who was born in July 2014. I got pregnant naturally in January of this year but it was a blighted ovum and eventually needed a D&C since the cytotec never worked. I'm not sure if it was the loss/D&C, the lifestyle changes I made after reading "It Starts with the Egg," or just pure luck that we were able to conceive on our own again. We consulted the RE and he recommended that we not even try on our own because he said that nursing causes miscarriages. BBQ still nurses at naptime and bedtime. The OBGYN, however, encouraged us to try on our own after 2 cycles. It was a total respectable ovulation date, and betas and progesterone started out really well. My first ultrasound will be the first week of August.
As excited and hopeful as I am, I can't help but feel a little guilty and sad when so many of my friends are still waiting. I'm thinking of you, rooting for you, and hope you can join me very soon.
Update 8/4. Perfect little baby with a heartbeat of 124, measuring 6w6d, one day ahead of my calculations
