I'm starting to come to terms with my induction. Still not happy about it, but I'm getting there.
Something Good- my BFF of 20 years is having her baby girl today. Her c-section is scheduled for an hour from Now and I'm so excited for her. Both our kids are the same age. And we will be in the hospital together!

melody330, that's cool that you will know someone in the hospital and that your kids will be the same age!
I am seriously going to TP the next person who tells me I look tired or says "you're still here?"
I woke up at 3 am last night to pee and then S had the hiccups and I couldn't get back to sleep. I may have dozed off just before my alarm went off at 4:18 am...
Last BPP and OB visit today, hopefully my cervix has made some progress!
So the latest news is that I'm apparently having some type of weird labor. Like... I'm in labor. But not in labor. I'll have 40 second contractions every 10 minutes for 3 hours, then they stop. I'm slowly but surely progressing. My OB is talking about just inducing me (i.e. Breaking my water) tomorrow night if I don't go into real labor by then. I think the main concern is that I'll give birth on the highway on the way to the hospital. Something about how I progressed really fast towards the end last time, and if I'm significantly dilated when my water breaks I won't have time to wait for my mom and husband to get home before this baby busts her way out of me. Either way, sounds like it's gonna be super fun.

Sounds like what I went through! Do you think you're going to get induced?
glaze, I don't know. I feel like I could be going into labor literally any minute now. So I'm just crossing my fingers that my body figures itself out and decides to swing that way. Walking around dilated is uncomfortable as hell and I am worried about giving birth in my bathroom with no one to watch my toddler. I think if he gives me the option tomorrow, I may just go for it. I

My little sister texted me telling me she is pregnant. She and her fiancé are getting married in September. He's a really good guy and loves her daughter so much. I'm excited for her. And I'm happy that I don't have all the IF feelings clouding me being excited for her.
melody330 I have been pregnant with my BFF of 25+ years with both DS and DD. It's so special!
Baby girl gave me 6 hours of solid sleep last night! I know it won't last but it was nice. I don't wake her for feeding and go off of her cues (FFFC) but she doesn't seem to have a problem gaining weight.

Not sure if I have a something good, haha! I'm just over everything at this point. Hoping the full moon jostles this guy loose even though I know I could still have more than a week to go if he decides to be late.
Good luck, tuna! I hope labor quickens up for you ... But not so quick that you're birthing on the highway, ha!

My regular OB has a few days off this week and has surgeries which unfortunately for me means he had no appts available. I know the other OB could potentially deliver this baby too but I'm just way more comfortable asking my regular OB questions, especially since I'm attempting a VBAC. The other guy is kind of wishy washy and I don't feel like I get real answers out of him. I'm hoping someone cancels with my OB and I end up getting in.

So far the hospital brought me double breakfast and said keep it. Then the complimentary hospital masseuse arrived for my 30 minute massage. I'm officially moving in!

I hear you. I was going to get induced for the same reasons and being so dilated makes it a lot more favorable. Well hopefully you'll end up in labor before you have to make a decision!

Amazing! You just need champagne and it will be a vacation!

I think I traumatized DD this morning and made her afraid of spiders for life. She has this red bouncy donkey thing and was bouncing on it this morning and a massive spider crawled out from under it. I didn't even save her, I just screamed and H jumped up really quick and tried to kill it but knocked DD off the donkey and the spider got away....I told him he wasn't allowed to sleep (works nights) until he found and killed it. Or we would just have to move. Luckily he got it and DD was not injured from her fall. It was a mess here this morning.
2) TMI: I passed somethings last night that I swear looked like a small kidney.
3) wish I didn't stock up on jumbo pads. I could be using liners. /
Don't throw out the jumbo ones yet. I stopped bleeding after about a week and just spotted up until last week when I started up full force again. It seems to have now stopped again.
Pediatrician wanted a 2 day checkup post discharge to check ds's weight. He's gained 6oz and is only 2 away from birthweight. He also gave me a couple 3 hour stretches last night.

My nurse said at the hospital they have to do every 4 hr wakes. But she told me unless he had weight issues at one week appt to just nurse on demand.

So, I am still dilated to nothing... Basically high and closed. I am pretty dissapointed. They scheduled me for another BPP and cervix check next Tuesday to see if I am any father along before my induction that night.
I'm doing a hiking class with my son, and we got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic today. So we're barely moving for 45 minutes, I have to pee so badly, and I'm having contractions. But I didn't deliver a baby on the highway or while hiking with a bunch of toddlers so that's the good news for the day! And now I feel completely fine - I'm guessing real labor is a ways off. But my parents arrive tomorrow, and I can't wait for them to parent DS. I need a break.

Hugs lady, this is EXACTLY what I went through this time. It is so hard on you and being dilated almost to the point of being admitted makes your anxiety so much worse. I kept telling the nurses the last time I went to the hospital (before the time I was sent there from the dr's office) that I was either going to miss my epidural or have a roadside baby, and either would really piss me off. At least you have a plan, so just try to rest tonight!
Been MIA all day. I took DS to the splash pad with my friend and her DDs and they had a blast.
I just got back from the hospital to see my BFF before we both have outside babies. The nurses kept stopping me asking when I was coming in lol.
I'm not really upset about the induction anymore, it's more like I'm determined to push this baby out now. The doctor really pushed a c-section hard. When he left the midwife disagreed, so I'm happy about that. I've also been having heavy contractions and lost the rest of my MP at the hospital.

Guise I made a freezer meal! I ordered twice as much pizza as I usually do and froze half of it. Seriously. Maybe tomorrow I'll make a lasagna to replace the lasagna I previously made and ate.
