I wish this could be liked more than once!!! That is fantastic news! So happy for you!! Yay!!!
Not as exciting as heybulldogs news lol but I had a fantastic sex dream last night and I'm going to set it in motion tonight. You all needed to know this.
I've been a SAHM and I've been a part-time working mom. They are both awesome in some ways and suck in others. If I had a good option for childcare, I would probably still be working. Because DH is an engineer and makes decent money, and I generally work for nonprofits, it's incredibly difficult to find a good day care that doesn't take my entire paycheck. I had a really terrible day care experience when I went back to work last September and ended up pulling DS out of that one, and then a friend watched him the rest of the time I was working until I quit in May.
Fortunately DH makes enough that we can live on one income, but sometimes I miss feeling like I was accomplishing something. Parenting is awesome and it's hard work, but it rarely feels like accomplishment.

judyblume14 , I love yoga and stopped when I began IVF back in February, it felt so good to get back to it.
I realized this morning I forgot to get H to bring down some laundry, he leave for work later than me & was still asleep. He normally brings it down for me as well. I do laundry much more often now, because I have fewer and fewer clothes that fit. So it should be a small light load.
Another option is to just toss the clothes down the steps...
My paternal grandmother, as a young mom, had a hole drilled through the floor in her kitchen. not a laundry chute, a hole, inside a cabinet. She was a visionary. My mom was always terrified of letting her babysit us.

Yay Team BOY!! Congrats on the good scan and babyboybulldog

Haha, I've been having similar dreams, I just wake DH up. He hasn't turned me down yet.
Today's off to a good start here. I went for a run this morning right after I woke up, so that was really nice. I want to keep running for as long as possible during pregnancy, so I'm going to try to do this more in the mornings since its too hot once DH gets home from work.
We also went on a playmate to a nice park, so that was fun. I kept DD awake in the car for the 25 minute ride home by singing the Wheels on the Bus. You'd be amazed at how many things can fit on that bus in that song on the ride home. I'd sing one verse and DD would immediately say "again!"
Later today we have swim lessons and DH is bring Chipotle home for dinner! I cannot wait!

I would but I need my sleep more than I need a good lay. so, tonight lol.
heybulldog56, Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear that everything is normal!
opheliainwaders What kind of vacation are you going on? Have fun!
geekmama, That is ridiculous that a decaf coffee has 100 mg caffeine! I sometimes have a grande cold brew from starbucks, which has 200 mg caffeine, so worth it!
ellabee, That's really scary! FX it's just your SCH.
rinny, Sorry about the diaper rash. DD had something like that once, which she actually got at daycare. The doctor attributed it to eczema.
We went to the park to play with some friends today. There were some kids we didn't know there, and initially everyone was playing together. Then, all of a sudden, no one wanted to play with DS and the other kids (mostly older and mostly girls) kept trying to hit him and tell him to go away. One of them hit him with her stuffed animal and he just hung his little head and started crying. It broke my heart. I have some residual issues from being bullied growing up and it just activated my mama bear and brought up a lot of those feelings. Poor little guy.
Turns out they had been pretending he was a monster, and he wanted to stop being the monster since everyone was running away from him, but everyone else was still pretending, which is why they were telling him to go away. So hard to understand when you're only 2 years old.

hey random question, how big of a difference does a crib brand make? Our friends got a $700 one and it looks the same as ones I've seen for 200 or 300, and I'm looking at a blue crib, and it seems really cheap. The safety standards are all universal right? so, materials and assembly? has anyone seen a crib break? I've usually gone with a 3 estimate model for figuring out value/quality, but there are SO many cribs!

We got a cheaper one (I don't remember the exact price, but it was cheaper than most of the other one say babies r us and it looked great! Well, it still works just fine and is perfectly safe, but there are quite a few chips in the stain and the wear and tear is noticeable. Don't know if it would be the same if we got a more expensive crib.
Edit to add that I'm still happy with our choice though.

geekmama, Awww poor DS. LovesMeSomeCake, no idea really what the difference would be. I am purely going on style and design and so far H hasn't been happy with my expensive taste on this twin stuff. One crib I liked was $700 and the other was over $1000.

LovesMeSomeCake , this is the crib we have for DD and the same one we will get for the new baby. I don't think it comes in blue. But it is cheaper and we love it. It's been a great crib so far (13 months)
This thread is a roller coaster! ellabee, I'm having anxiety for you. I hope you can rest today. geekmama, that broke my heart. Kids can be so mean even if it's not intentional. It makes me so sad to think that awful stuff can happen so young. heybulldog56, yaaaay girl! Glad everything is okay. Congratulations on team blue!
Crib safety is universal, so when buying a new crib price is mostly a matter of durability, materials, and style. I believe we paid about $600 for DS's crib and dresser/changing table and they've held up well, although my dog has put scratches in the finish.
I have the sadz. My neighbors officially put their house on the market. Even though they had told us I'm still sad. They're older and she just retired. They don't needs big four bedroom house with a huge high maintenance yard, moving closer to grandkids, etc. So I totally understand but they were awesome neighbors! We share a very long property line with them so I'm anxious about the future neighbors. Hopefully they will be an awesome young family with munchkins.
LovesMeSomeCake I have the Jenny Lind crib for $200. I love it and have no concerns. In fact, if I decide to not transition DS and get a second crib I will get another Jenny Lind. Plus I love the classic look of it.
