Apparently they have a possible non-travel-related Zika case in Florida now. I'm supposed to go to Palm Beach for vacation in a month and a half.
Planning to talk to my OB about it on Friday.
Whaaaaaaat?! At my first appointment the doctor was rambling about it spreading as far as the Maine coast in x-amount of time. I thought she was talking about a doomsday prediction but maybe she wasn't?
On that note sil is still planning on going to the Bahamas or Bermuda, can't remember which, in August for her honeymoon. I know the cdc website says no zika but a big fat no thank you if it was my honeymoon. I'd reschedule to somewhere else.

Is this the pregnant competitive SIL?
The one and only. Mil has also been trying to get info out of me because she's worried that sil doesn't seem happy and isn't excited about the pregnancy. More drama incoming I'm sure. Sighs.

Hugs for everyone who needs them today!
Daily 5:30am calls for work have me functioning at a zombie level this week and, lucky me, I get to do it all again next week. Luckily, all of the extra time means I'm working half days for the next two days.
Next weekend I'm flying to Anaheim to see my cousin and his wife. She is due with their first, a little girl, in September so I'm going to visit and attend their baby shower. I'm excited their daughter and baby girl will be close in age, my cousin is about 6 months younger than me and I loved growing up with a cousin close in age to me. Plus since we are two and done, it will be the closest baby girl will come to having a sister.
I have the sads today too. My puppy died yesterday. She was only 2 but had Addison's disease and it was just too much for her. Trying not to randomly burst into tears whenever I see something of hers. On a bright note, I have an appt tomorrow so I should be able to hear baby's heartbeat on the doppler. Hoping that will cheer myself and DH up a bit. As for tonight I am eating my feelings and making a frozen pizza and maybe a brownie
I'm so sorry for your loss Losing them at any age is hard, but for myself, having to put mine down at only 2 was the hardest one. Big hugs.
DH isn't answering his phone and I have to share with someone! The genetic counselor just called with my MaterniT21 results. Everything is normal!!!!!!!! And... IT'S A BOY!!!!!! I will stop being a AW for now.
Just catching up today - I'm so very happy for you!!! Congratulations on team blue!
professormcgonagall big hugs Hun. I'm so sorry about your pup, that must have been so hard
Hoping your apt cheers you up, but I also think you should keep eating your feelings if it helps. And remember, you don't have to be ok, this isn't wonderland.
