Ultrasound appt went well today. One gestational sac, will post pic when I am not feeling lazy and I get up and go back downstairs. Next ultrasound is also an appt with the RE next Thursday, so I assume she'll confirm due date then, and we're also hoping to see heartbeat then.

So had my first appointment this afternoon! They do an appointment to just confirm pregnancy and cover the basics. I talked to my doctor about my fears and she agreed to order an ultrasound for 6 weeks. I went ahead and scheduled it but just have to double check that insurance will cover it. Fx it does because I would really like some peace of mind. After that, I don't go back until I'm 11 weeks at Sept 12th. That seems so far away! But for today, I am pregnant.
First ultrasound baby's heart rate was a little high. Hard to enjoy since I had to bring the toddler. Never thought she'd be watching a vaginal ultrasound. Lol. Here's a weird pic! You can see the cord too.
ladytiffany24 so glad you're getting in early, hope insurance will cover. When you have PGAL brain every week feels like an eternity of worry, and for some reason waiting until 11 weeks is torture.

My insurance didn't cover any IF treatments so I was completely out of pocket of my monitoring u/s and they ended up being about $300 each. Obviously not ideal, but if your insurance won't cover it you might want to find out the price before cancelling for peace of mind
I'll definitely be finding out the cost either way! Depending on the cost, might be worth it for peace of mind for sure!

Great news! My insurance will cover the ultrasound at 6 weeks! It will be the negotiated rate out of pocket but I have some funds in my HSA to cover it. Better than it not being covered and having to pull the full price. So, I'm keeping my appointment for Monday afternoon! Now, finding ways to make sure I'm busy and occupied until then...
@brittab wow! That's a great pic! Hopefully you won't have your LO at the next appointment. I know nothing about high heart rates, but positive thoughts it's nothing
britab - dang thats a good ultrasound pic!! Tell me bringing you toddler to this wasn't too bad - it's the only way DH will be able to come but I feel weird bringing her in that room and don't want her to be scared!

I have to take my twins to everything (2-1/2).. not scared, just bored and want out of the stroller. Luckily, my MFM is amazing and just talks over their chatter. I love that woman!

DS had to come to my ultrasound. He's only 14 months, so the biggest problem was that the doctor was running a little behind and he was getting antsy in the exam room. He did NOT like it when they took my blood pressure for some reason, but the nurse let him play with the cuff for a minute, and then he was fine. If your H is there, it'll be fine. Don't think I could have done it without him, though!

She brought a lot of toys and then just wanted to watch the vaginal ultrasound and play with the garbage can. She demanded to go potty when I had to empty my bladder.
It was fine but normally she'll be at daycare. I'm sure they've seen crazier at an OB. That's what I told myself anyway.

Thanks for the reassurance ladies! This makes me feel better. Does the tech insert the dildo camera? I read online that some allow you to put it in and that, well, no. I don't want to do that. lol
