Thanks for the reassurance ladies! This makes me feel better. Does the tech insert the dildo camera? I read online that some allow you to put it in and that, well, no. I don't want to do that. lol
No one has ever asked me if I wanted to put it in. They always did it for me.

I've never had anyone ask me to put it in - they usually do. It doesn't hurt at all, and it's really pretty small and smooth. I would say that it's similar to putting in a tampon but it's actually more comfortable than that. Certainly WAY more comfortable than a speculum.

I would be freaked out if they wanted me to insert it on my own. during my IUI cycles it was the NP who did the scans. for the viability scan, it was my RE.
I actually preferred the transvaginal ultrasound to the abdominal ultrasound when I had to have both in the same day. But that was just because I had to drink half a gallon of water and hold it before the abdominal ultrasound, which then involved them pressing the wand over my very full bladder for 20 minutes. After that anything would've seemed like an improvement, including the dildo cam

I've had many - never have I been told to put it in myself. I don't think I could do it myself. You will be ok. I find I have do some deep breathing to keep me relaxed.
Hi! I had my second ultrasound this week. You might remember that last week at 5w6d the heart beat was 85, well I worried all week and today it was in the 130's (6w4d)! And we were able to hear it. (I thought you couldn't hear it this early, but we did!) I have my 3rd u/s next Thursday- I'm classified as high risk due to RPL

Great news!!! So happy your baby is growing strong.
I had my appointment with the midwife this afternoon. It went really well - she brought the ultrasound machine in for a sneak peek so I got to see my blob and the heartbeat for a minute. That was really exciting (and unexpected)! I go back in a few weeks for the NT scan and will actually have a picture then.
She also told me I have a slight heart murmur, which could be pregnancy induced. But she wasn't too worried about it. I also had to pee in a cup twice because my first effort was not sufficient for all the tests they wanted to run. Next time I won't pee before I leave the house, I guess
Someone hold my hand and tell me what to expect with a transvaginal ultrasound. I've never had one and I wanna be prepared for Monday.
Like everyone said, it won't be too big of a deal, but each time I've had one, I had a sore vag the following few days. I think I got a tiny tear from the angle the tech had the dildocam at. You also might have some spotting after the ultrasound and that is normal from the probe being all up in your business.
I had two doctors appoitments today, one with the RE and one with a hematologist. First the good part: we saw our little blob with it's little heartbeat! It was amazing, and also surreal and also kind of freaked me out (holy crap, there is a baby in there!) but it was all wonderful of course. The second apt went wellish, I really like the doctor and she thinks it would be best to be on lovenox SO I started my daily injections today. I got nervous but it wasn't too bad at all.
Also, how on earth do I make a normal sized picture?
Had my first appointment 2 days ago (I updated on pgal) at 5w5d, there wasn't a fetal pole yet but the doctor said everything looked normal for this stage in the game. Normal looking gestational sac and yolk sac. Repeat ultrasound on August 22! Hoping there will be a strong healthy baby by then
