Uterine fibroids (removed by robotic myomectomy 11/14) and past removal of L ovary/tube d/t ovarian torsion (4/99). New diagnosis of endometriosis (5/15)
DS slept in his pack and play all night!!! First time ever. Even gave me a 4 hour stretch. Hoping this will continue. He's outgrowing the bassinet attachment though so hopefully he'll adjust to being flat on his back on the mattress.
Ds2 is on cradle nap #3 today. Ds1 has found it his life's mission to be as loud as possible during these naps. It drives me up the wall. I don't know what he doesn't understand about baby sleeping= mommy/toddler play time.

Thats not all. I have another.
Dear Dr. Maz (Isla's Ped)
I think you are great. You are a wonderful Dr. and I always liked you even way back when i worked at the clinic, but please understand my daughter has practically midgets for parents. I had an IUGR diagnosis through almost my whole pregnancy and Isla was a week overdue and barely 5 pounds.....she is destined to be tiny. Please....its ok, really. LOL.

My son does the same thing! It's like oh the baby is finally sleeping? Let's see how fast I can wake her up. He's really into screaming right now and the more I tell him to be quieter, the louder he screams lol

Mine stomps around and whacks his plastic golf clubs on the floor. I can't even take him outside because is 35c and humid as hell.

It's a good thing they're so cute right?! The heat index is 115 here today, so going outside is not an option for us either unfortunately

I'm so glad you're not letting Dr M stress you out over it! Meanwhile( baby will grow!

I'm feeling quite accomplished today. I've cleaned almost the whole house, done laundry AND grocery shopped.. And baby is still alive. The only things I have left are vacuuming, mopping, and my homework...
Why is it that I have ONE week of school left and I'm procrastinating my paper?!? I must be crazy.

I need to get some of this type of perspective with DSs slowish growth!
Hang in there mama, colic is so tough. I know it probably doesn't seem like it now, but it will eventually go away, and you will be a stronger mom for it! In the meantime, sending good vibes your way!
They say they outgrow it at about 3 months... E will be 12 weeks tomorrow and the past 2 days a switch literally flipped and she's smiling so much. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!
So I have had 3 different messages written here and just now i am posting. From what in recall reading, there has been poop, sleep, toddlers who disrupt sleep....
It was hot and humid today. I'm down to two nanny candidates. I like them both a lot. One is cheaper than the other. Decisions will be hard to make. dh will meet the 2nd candidate sunday and then we decide!
What's worse than cleaning your car first thing in the morning after your toddler takes a giant dump in it? Driving your car home after it sat in the 90 degree heat for 10 hours.

This is not baby related but funny. Since her surgery on Wednesday, DD has turned into a mini hoarder. She has been saving used band aids, wrappers, and other assorted small trash items in a pile that she has hidden under the end table. Today's addition to the pile were the cut off tops of her freezer pop wrappers. We have tried to convince her to put them in the trash but it's no use and we don't want to get her too upset since crying with sore throat sucks. It's a bit comical but also a bit worrisome. Like what did the anesthesia do to my kid??

Yep that's worse. Yuck.
I used to throw my horse stuff in my car and leave it there for way too long. So you can imagine sweaty, manure, horse scented stuff. I, of course didn't notice a smell. lol

But that's kind of cute. She's collecting!
Yeah it's mostly cute as well as her new squeaky voice.
Day care interview #1 in the books. I kind of felt like a hack and I'm dwelling on everything. I'm sure lots went well but I'm replaying the questionable parts in my mind. They will let us know if they want to enroll. Two more interviews and inspection on Tuesday!!
Why did my baby decide that a day when I needed her up at her normal 3:30 wake up would be a good time to sleep in? Haha. On that note, wish us luck flying with a 2 year old and a 12 week old!
Good luck traveling! You're much braver than I am ☺️
Not brave at all! Necessary to visit some of DH's family and friends since he grew in another state and I talked him into a 7 hour car ride earlier this summer to visit some of my family. It actually went amazingly well to my surprise! We bought H a kids kindle on prime day which he was amazed/baffled by since he doesn't have a lot of tech experience. We loaded it with a bunch on games and puzzles which occupied him for most of the flight but he hasn't asked for it since we landed (we're hoping to mostly use it as something special for travel). M nursed/fussed while they pressurized the cabin and then passed or for the next 2 hours and then woke up in a great mood.
I remember being really freaked out the first time we flew with H (5ish months) because he started screaming while we were taxiing. A veteran mom was sitting by us and told me it was because they were pressurizing the cabin - did not realize that happened before take off! He has not had a bad take off or landing since then (10+ flights) and I offered M the boob at the first sign of discomfort today and had no problems. I'm sure setting myself up for an epic failure on the ride home but at least we can enjoy our visit! We've traveled with H a lot so we are hoping to do the same wth both kids.
birkmmm you will be fine! I've always loved traveling by myself and a baby didn't change that - people are usually so nice! Good luck!
Girl I'm right there with you. Lots of crying today. Both me and baby. Mama needs a break from bouncing the 12 lb weight 24/7. Hopefully it will end soon for both of us!
