So last night I went to one of those paint nite things with a couple of girlfriends. I think I recall seeing something here about people not liking them. I had fun! We will probably do it again. Will I hang the painting? Probably not. It was my friends idea so she picked the painting. No really my taste. Next time I want to pick it. Something brighter!
M STTN until 5:45, had a bottle and went back down for a bit. Instead of going back to bed (like usual) I decided to get up and have a coffee in peace. It was a great way to start the day .
Going to meet a work colleague who adopted a baby 2 months ago. I'm looking forward to meeting her squish!

I'm totally side eyeing a mom in a local FB group. She says her husband hasn't asked about paternity leave, is currently in labor, and what did other people's husbands get.
Caden and I had our last week day morning walk together, it made me sad. Went for an oil change, 2 hour wait. No thank you. Made an appointment for Sunday.
I gave a lot of feels that our babies are already having birthdays. I remember this time last year, watching you all have your babies. I was slightly jealous I still had 3 weeks to wait. I am slightly jealous you all are having parties now too. Lol
tuscanlatte, do you have the contract? I would ask her where in the contract says that. If she can't tell her to hand over the blanket and you won't post any negative comments anywhere about her professionalism.
That's crap. I would ask for her to show it to you in writing. And I wouldn't be paying her.
I have the contract. After combing through everything I found a line on the 4th page of her resume saying (this daycare takes a holiday first week of August).
That's not even close to being in the contract. She won't be getting any money from me. She's like "well I expected you to read everything in there." Yeah, but she should've verbally mentioned it at least one time. She was being super rude. She started taking shots at ds' daycare and just took it to a whole new level. Like so much so that I was crying for probably half hour after that convo. I know she was being ridiculous because she contradicted herself over and over trying to guilt me.
Bye Felicia.
My sons daycare however immediately agreed to take her starting after this weekend, texted me "I have your back!" And was generally amazing as usual. So yes.
Yeah our other daycare is also an unlicensed home as well (that's pretty much it for options here) and she had us sign a paper of when her vacation is with a 30 day notice. She also mentions it once in a while to remind us. The whole thing is just sketchy.

Lol she's like this is legally binding (me- I know which is why you should've put it in there!). By sure go ahead and take me to court for $150. Unlikely!

tuscanlatte, that's so rough. I remember when I had the falling out with DS1's day care. It kept me up at night because I really started questioning the way he was being treated since she had been so unprofessional and lied about why he could not longer go there.

We looked at an amazing house yesterday. I want it with my whole being. I have until August 8 to get pregnant, then we have to wait until january. Come on universe, make it rain!
I'm working today and somehow got coerced into agreeing to work every single Tuesday starting the end of August. I knew that's what they were going to ask and I was prepared to agree to every other week, but I chickened out. Our director is just so intimidating I find myself agreeing to whatever she says.
I think I just need to think about it differently and be happy that they're letting me keep my foot in the door in case I do decide to return full time. Both girls will be in a Mother's day out program on Tuesdays so childcare isn't an issue. But I was selfishly looking forward to having a day every once in awhile to clean, run errands, etc. kid-free. The money will be nice though as we continue with this epic house building process...
McBitch is on vacation, so if I don't hit my numbers (looking unlikely) I at least won't be fired until Wednesday. I'm going to keep plugging away today and tomorrow morning and will them just release it to that universe.
Excited about the concert tonight with packmomma and my SIL and niece. It's my nieces first concert. FX it's not too hot.
shellyr That's way too many creepy crawlies for one day. Yikes!
joi922 Happy anniversary! That's so sweet of you to recreate the cake and flowers. I'm tucking that idea away for when my tenth comes along. Enjoy your celebration!
Baby girl slept till 9am and twins are still sleeping at almost 9:30 after that rough travel day yesterday. My best friend from grad school and the MOH in my wedding is coming to visit with her family for the weekend. My house is chaos after being gone for 2 weeks and my fridge is empty. I'm a great host right now, lol! I know she won't care but I still feel a little bad. Looking forward to a fun weekend!
W's sleep has been off since we stayed in the hotel last weekend. And naps have been awful (usually less than an hour in his crib and then nursed down next to me). Today I didn't even try to rest because of it.....he's been down for almost 2 hours. Damn it I needed a nap.
Mostly unpacked now. Maybe 10 boxes left, but they're all nonessential items. Which means I could just throw those away right? In other news, E has been fighting a fever for the past 2 days but finally woke up today without one. Yesterday she either wanted to be held (not worn) or walk around holding my hand only. The walking thing was cute. She's been taking a few steps here and there but yesterday she was a walking storm. Walked on her own from the living room to the kitchen, stopped, made like she was going to sit but stopped mid squat and kept on walking.
I really wish I could take a 5 hour lunch break and just go home. Zero motivation, luckily I'm still able to get some work done.
So this morning at drop off I was told that in M's room it will just be the two directors. I think this is going to be great. They're both much better about communicating. I had a great conversation with the one there this morning about M's movement. Since he's started to take steps when we're holding his hands recently we're trying to practice that as much as we can, and they're totally on board. She's also working on getting him to pull up more. He pulls himself up on me and in the bathtub fine, so I want aware he was refusing at daycare. I'm honestly glad for the change in his teachers.
I had two different pages open in two different browsers. I even called.
Based on their FB page, it sold out in minutes. People are ready to burn ticketmaster down.
I'll just hope they release more tickets...
The stupid thing is I didn't see where they announced the second show. So when I called and they mentioned it, I immediately called DH and was like "should I?" Well, I should have because when I got back on the phone, they had sold out.
