This will not be the last time your kid will hate you @janetheconquerer...sorry...but in the long run he will love you so much more for getting better sleep...hang in there! Like RandomName said everyone will do the checks differently. For me it felt better and helped m if I picked him up for a quick snuggle. Never longer than a minute. If I tried just talking to him calmly he escalated even more. But even if he was still crying I left within the minute. All that being said, We did try one night of full CIO. Did not work for us at all.

M's schedule is totally screwed up after his birthday party. Plus side to that is that I got to read to him and put him to bed. Of course he's still rolling around his crib, but I'll take what I can get.

When DH bills over 10 hours in a day he gets to order dinner with his corporate card. He's on his way home and just called in an order from the flippin' amazing Italian place down the road. I plan on stealing the food as soon as he comes through the door. Sorry not sorry.

Whether it's getting into a routine or something more structured that comes from a book, I think everyone 'sleep trains'. Otherwise there would be no consistent bedtime, night of sleep etc. and we'd be stuck on our kids schedules.

Woohoo, thewop, I saw you ordered your wine!! What'd you end up going with?! I'm already planning August's box and I'm on my 2nd bottle from this month's delivery, a delicious Chenin blanc.
