The Dude had his 4 month appointment today. He's been snoozing off and on, and will randomly burst into the high-pitched something hurts cry. Poor kid. Annnddd we're still dealing with issues from his circumcision. UGH.
Had to take W to the pedi. I had to get meds for reflux. His pedi said she was so happy that he is finally getting a double chin. Hopefully this helps his reflux.

I'm officially done with my job. I sent my resignation notice, turned in my pager and badge, and made another trip to turn in my laptop. It's a little bittersweet. They told me I could come back anytime.
We're headed to TX tomorrow. We will leave when J wakes up to eat motn so he hopefully sleeps a few more hours on the road.
Starting to freak out about going back to work... 8/24 was so far away in February!!
+1 it seemed so far away when she was born a day I knew I'd have five months off. I go back on the 8th and am definitely freaking out. I'm looking forward to it in some ways but definitely dreading the adjustment period. And getting two kids ready in the morning.

+1 to being nervous/not ready to go back to work. I had never wanted to be a SAHM before. If it was an option financially, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Is there anything I can do about grandparents overstimulating the baby? I know they are just excited to see him and spend time with him, but they get in his face even when I tell him he is tired. Every time we see my mom and her bf bedtime is a disaster....2 hours of screaming until he's gasping for air and choking on his own drool before he goes down.

I'd remove him from the situation. Just say "ohhh is it getting to be a little much buddy? Let's go have some quiet time"
Or try explaining it to them.
Probably easier said than done I'm sure. Luckily we don't really run into that issue. Though we have a family thing Sunday and most haven't met E and it's right before bed. I have no problems taking her though and wearing her to avoid the meltfown.

You have to be assertive. I had to flat out tell my mom to get out when she wasn't taking the "ok, it's bedtime" hint. You are the mom and you are the boss, grandparents will forgive you for being short with them

So, AF showed up yesterday. The phrase of the day is fuck this shit.
I had mine last week. And it was AWFUL. I felt like I was back in 7th grade and getting it for the first time because I could not get a grip on handling it enough to prevent leakage. UGH.

xxkimmy8xx - With your LO's allergies, did you see nasal congestion/mucus and sneezing as a symptom? I'm trying to determine if my LO is reacting to corn or if it's just a dc cold that she can't get over. I have a pediatric allergy consult scheduled in August so I'm hoping they'll offer some insight or at least tell me to keep doing what I'm doing. Introducing purees in a month or so is weighing on my mind and how she'll react.

DanaScullyX I saw your post in the accident thread, what happened with M? Sorry if it's not recent and I missed it, but is she doing okay now?
It was in March. She has a large hemangioma on the side of her head (strawberry birthmark). Well it was also growing internally on the back of her throat. She started having trouble breathing, especially while eating. Luckily, we have a children's hospital with a hemangioma clinic and they figured it out. She had to be put under and have a throat scope twice and we were in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. She's on medicine that is literally working miracles.
