I haven't been around much the last couple days. I hope everyone is doing good! I caught DS's cold and now it seems like DD caught it too. It's so sad seeing her sick. We're doing the walk through on our new home tonight and we will move some stuff in the garage. Then I gotta get our current home ready for its walk through tomorrow. I don't have time to be sick!
My friend texted me yesterday. She has a 2.5yr old and she is yo-yoing on weight big time. She is about 18lbs away from her goal weight and although she's able to get there, she can't maintain. She texted me because she knows I'm a WW lifetime member and her mom is too! So SHE IS JOINING and I am going to do it with her. I told DH once I get back to my goal weight (140-145) I get an ENTIRE new wardrobe. His reply, "To Barneys we go". Ok, I get it, he wants me to spend as much as needed so I feel good in my skin and clothes, but Barneys is too pretencious for me! Nordstrom and Macys will be better!!! But I can't wait. I have 25-30lbs to go. BRING IT.
I asked this on the randoms a few days ago, but what's the benefit of joining WW vs. just finding recipes and the point system online?
For me when I did it, it was the motivation since I was spending money. I'm not very self motivated but when I was spending money I suddenly became much more interested in losing the weight
Now I am once again in the wedding and now DH is not.
Please make up your mind. lol
So frustrating! She really needs to make up her mind and stick to it. Especially when you have a LO and you need to make arrangements for him/her that day!
I'm at my sisters today and 2 of our friends came over and they each have 2 kids ... It's good to hang out but it's so loud in the house with 5 toddlers and poor ry can't stay asleep :/

If you go to meetings, accountability! I found that it was really motivational to go to meetings and see that I was losing weight, others were too. I'll never forget the day a lady shared that she had lost 75lbs and was officially OFF all her Type 2 diabetes education and then she blushed because she also shared with a group of complete strangers that she had also found her Mojo once again and her husband and her were planning a 2nd honeymoon! It's inspirational. With that being said, finding time to go to a meeting is HARD with kids...riiiiight? At the meetings I learned a lot of valuable tricks and tools to help me lose weight. Also helpful when I hit a plateau.
Truth be told, I seldom make ANY WW recipes! The beauty of WW is that you learn to eat ANYTHING you wish to eat, but within a budget...over time, you learn to budget wisely in your head and you learn portion control.
I am lucky we have meetings walking distance to my condo, in fact we used to have meetings HERE in my building!! Now I have to walk about a mile to a meeting but that's great exercise
I joined WW on Sunday. I like the meetings because of the accountability but also, I don't want others to see my weight go up. At home if I screw up I'm the only one that see the increase. Going to a weigh in at a meeting makes me want to make that number go down!
DS2 just unleashed a week's worth of poop in his bathtub this morning. It took us an hour to clean up because he has his rotavirus vaccine yesterday which is a live vaccine so I'm trying to disinfect everything so we don't all get rotavirus. He seems very pleased with himself now.
I need a recommendation for a recipe to make when we have company next week.
Bonus points if it's a slow cooker dish
more bonus points if it has fairly common ingredients.
And lastly not lasagna or spaghetti. LOL
So easy and delicious! Serve with buns for sandwiches. I use maple syrup instead of the extract and sugar instead of the sweetener (obviously this makes it not sugar free).

Ugh! Similar experience last week but it was a blowout and all over both or us. Luckily my MIL was over and didn't mind getting DD cleaned off while I got it off myself, her clothes, my clothes, cleaned the tub etc. She did pass out for several hours afterwards though... Hope your little guy is feeling well!

At this point teraiin I think I would tell her that neither of you are interested in being in the wedding party as you needed time to figure out a plan with LO and you can't do that if they keep changing their minds.
I think I am the only one not interested in losing weight right now, even though I really want to do so. I am afraid of tanking my supply and I just can't afford to do that.
Me: 30 DH: 29; Married: September, 2010 TTC #1: April 2013 Benched: May 2013 Cancer(DH) Off the Bench: September 2014 July 2015 ER low sperm count and motility(radiation side effect). FET September 1,2015. BFP 9/9/15.- 3 on the way.
Not worrying about weight here either. I'm fact I'm desperately trying to hang on to these last couple pounds so my supply doesn't tank. Which is obnoxious because I have over supply at the moment but I'm still paranoid of it swinging to the other direction like it did with DD.

I just want to lose enough to not need to buy new scrubs... Im almost there!
So E only gained 2.9oz this week and 3 the week before. That makes her 9lb 14oz at 3mos. I guess the LC is concerned, i think it's her reflux. But she's finally the happiest she's ever been.... We see the pedi about it Monday. Stupid numbers stressing me out!!!
So DS did not nap while he was gone. He's only napped for about 20 minutes. He's not cranky, he's happy and cooing. Hopefully he falls asleep soon otherwise I worry about how tonight will go...
my mother in law gave DS alllll the milk I brought so ~7 oz which seems like a it much but he's handling it fine thus far...

You're probably right. I'm just such a wuss!
And me too. The scale is starting to creep back up a little bit but I'm more concernd with my supply atm. I cold be eating healthier foods I guess....

LO did well with her shots today. Cried but calmed and slept after cuddles. We've been cuddling and napping the rest of the day. She slept 5 hours in a row last night, hoping that trend continues! Judging by the comments it seems like lots of us are getting more sleep these days - fingers crossed!
Speaking of coffee, I have finally perfected my iced coffee recipe at home, which is certainly saving me some money since its $4 at the coffee shop!
Care to share your secret?
I have been brewing my regular coffee but making it really strong, using my regular 3 scoops to make about 2 oz of "expresso" I guess you could say. I mix it with a TB of Ghirardelli chocolate sauce and then put in fridge for at least an hour. You are supposed to leave it overnight but I don't do that. Then I add soy milk and coffee ice cubes. The coffee cubes are the best as they keep it from getting watered down.
I have some formula left over. It's the already mixed enfamil bottles for newborn-3 months. I only used two when we first came home from the hospital when DS was having issues and my milk hadn't come in yet.
What should I do with it? He will be 3 months in a week and a half. Some friends suggested that I throw in a formula bottle here and there since he's on the lower end weights wise anyway and we do give him a bottle of pumped milk once a day. Someone else suggested mixing breast milk with some of the formula since he takes bottles well.
I hate to waste the formula but I don't know anyone with young enough babies for it.

We made it home from a long day of travel after 2 weeks of visiting family. The kids were wonderful the whole flight. G has grown so much in the past two weeks, he doesn't even fit in most of the clothes I took with us. He's happily playing on his activity gym right now. DH joined us a few days ago, and the house is messier than I left it and he accidentally left the refrigerator door open and all of the food is spoiled (although there wasn't much in there) but I don't even care because I'm so glad to be home. This keeps happening with this refrigerator/freezer which confirms my decision to get a small chest freezer for my breast milk.
DS fell asleep a little early tonight. Part of me wants to wake him up and nurse him since its been two hours... But I suppose I'll let him sleep. He will wake up when he's hungry... Lol
