I don't wear shoes inside the house, culturally. I was always under the impression that Americans wore shoes inside the house and was surprised to find it seems to vary regionally. It is definitely more common for people not to wear shoes inside around here (NE) - with all the snow and mud, the floors would be disgusting. I hate cleaning and DNW to vacuum/mop more than I have to already.

I think she means every winter olympic would be held in the same place, and every summer olympic would be held in the same, *but different from winter olympic location*, city.

But they only host for that one year. I'm saying it needs to be stationary. Every winter games Russia hosts, every summer game Rio hosts.

I think this is bad idea knowing the how the Olympics literally destroys so many people lives. It is never goodies for the poor people in any host country.

I think this is bad idea knowing the how the Olympics literally destroys so many people lives. It is never goodies for the poor people in any host country.

And I think that having one host city will help bring money to the poor people because in my plan, they'd have to use the money towards those issues.

Whoa, now. I definitely don't want to get rid of the Olympics. I think it is being mismanaged by corruption, and the IOC should be regulating that in an entirely different and significantly better way.

What. No. Lives were literally destroyed. As in people are killed and it's usually the homeless and poor. It has been happening for years. Brazil was the most extreme of recent times.

Obviously my plan is hypothetical of how I would change the way we host the games. And I looked up homeless people being killed and nothing really comes up.

I still like the Olympics for the actual sport, but it shook me when I saw an article showing all the run down event centers that were only built for the Olympics and nothing else. Just wasted spending all over.

I would be all about the Olympics if they picked locations that already had the facilities necessary to host. Or at least limit spending to certain amount.

I do realize that there are more problems that I am probably not aware of. Ignorance is bliss, man.

I wear Toms most non-wintry days and they are very comfortable but they still feel like an unnecessary layer for inside. I am not into sandals/flip flops unless I am specifically going to the beach.

Ok that article has many of the reasons why I think one city should host. We need to get rid of the greed and corruption 100%.

The police brutality didn't just happened recently just because of the Olympics. That's speculation, really. Not saying that it doesn't have anything to do with it, but I sure it'll still happen after the games.
