spotting questions (after clomid cycle)

OK guys. Some of this may be TMI so don't read further if you don't want to.

I took Clomid last cycle. I ovulated on CD15. I starting spotting on 600mg or oral progesterone 10DPO, so I took a test and it was negative. My CD21 progesterone blood work came back at 95.9. I spotted until CD27 when I stopped taking my progesterone because another test was still negative. My period was light for 3 days, like use a liner only light. I'm still spotting. It's been 10 days. My left side hurts like crazy where my ectopic was in april. I called the doctor at 1 today because the pain has been getting worse, but only got a message machine. So now I wait, however, I was wondering if anyone else had any experiences like this on clomid or in general?

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. My periods were significantly lighter on Femara, but still needed a tampon. I would call back and see if there is an after hours/emergency line you can call since I imagine they are probably closed by now. If the pain is increasing though, I would head to the ER to get an ultrasound and blood work to see what is going on, whether it is another potential ectopic or a cyst. I don't mean to scare you, just to emphasize the importance of this, cysts from Clomid can cause ovarian torsion so it's important to get treatment so you don't lose an ovary. I hope it's just a ruptured cyst and not anything more. I'll be thinking about you!

I spotted for a while before AF started on my clomid cycle. But I also had some crazy symptoms and it just sucked in general. Hopefully it is nothing! Keep us posted.

I know my O's with clomid and I definitely had an irritated ovary. I can't remember when it came close to my period if I had pain at that point. With your history I would definitely do as grneyes says.


Was it CD12 that you stopped taking progesterone? That seems really early, especially based on HPTs alone. If you do another clomid cycle I would push for betas to be done at CD14 before stopping progesterone.

**UPDATE AND WARNING**





Well guys I spent 8-11 in the ER. I ended up calling my m/w because the doctor on call wasn't going to run a beta. Well she insisted and it came back low but positive.
So I'm back on my progesterone. And we will run the beta again monday. So I guess this is good bye for now and thanks for everything.
