I stayed up until one working. I will be fully caught up if I work this weekend meaning I can go to work until baby is here but kinda just attend meetings and sit around.
Headed to the splash pad w the kids.
My back hurts and I'm sleepy:( but overall feeling great!

Stayed up too late last night. DD1 woke DD2 by crying over a wet bed (again with the needing to pee and night crying - it is every night lately). DH is tired too because he's clearly grouchy. Oy. Plan to take the girls for one of their free ice cream coupons from our library's reading program to break the tired funk.
Yesterday we did McDonald's soft serve from the coupon book and this either kind but creepy guy or total weirdo (it was impossible to tell which) was really freaking DH and I out. He got the girls Happy Meal toys, knew which car we had come in, kept talking to us, waited for us to leave. Either he was lonely and friendly or totally inept and nefarious. Hoping today's ice cream run will be a bit less exciting.
We have a big three day religious convention this weekend. It happens once a year and I don't think I've ever missed one. But I already knew I wouldn't be able to sit through a whole day with my tailbone and then yesterday we got like 25 minutes into the 35 minute drive there and DD started puking all over herself and the car seat. Then we got home and I threw up, though for unrelated reasons. So we didn't go at all yesterday. Today we're planning on just going to the afternoon session.
Any tips for helping an 18 month old who gets car sick? Everyone just tells me to turn her so she's FF but I'm not comfortable with that.

Good morning!
I stayed up super late talking to DH last night about a zillion different things, and it was just so nice - we haven't done that in a while. When we finally went to bed I just thought about how I really should enjoy the moments like that now, because it won't be just the two of us for much longer. Thanks to staying up late, I slept until past 9am and am just waking up while DH runs out to get us some iced coffees and BEC's. Nothing else planned for the rest of the day, other than some light cleaning.
I haven't done a "real" food shop in a while and I REALLY don't want to do one this weekend because I'd like to think we'll all be in the hospital for a few days this week, so what's the point? But if baby decides to be overdue, I'll be struggling to figure out what to do for dinner every night. Lose-lose situation!
gratefulgirl, that guy would have really freaked me out too! I tend to be a little paranoid though.
Last night was.. not great. DD3 has been gulping her bottles and drinking way too fast, which leads to choking and spitting up a ton of her bottle. Add in days/nights mixed up and a baby who likes to snuggle and doesn't want to be put down, and yeah..
I set up the rock n play out of desperation at 3 am and she finally slept well. I was trying really hard to avoid it for night sleeping, but I was desperate.
So I have to run to BRU to get preemie nipples and see if the slow flow helps her. Then my ILs are coming up for the day.
Plus side: I can now have all the caffeine to get me through this day haha.

shehulk723, Does she puke every time she goes in the car or is it more for specific trips (i.e. longer or bumpy ride)? Suggestion I've heard are keeping the car very cold, fresh air, avoiding food/dairy right before you leave. One possible thing to help with clean-up is to put one of those larger/harder vinyl bibs with the bowl/catcher at the bottom. Not sure if any of that is helpful, but figured I'd give it a shot. I agree on the not turning her around yet, sorry that's what most people suggest.

remylove1011 it seems to happen more when we have to go somewhere early in the morning and on the interstate. That's part of the reason we're going in the afternoon today instead of morning time but I can't always avoid early drives. I'm definitely thinking about doing one of those bibs, but knowing her, she'd rip it off immediately or scream and cry which would just make her more sick. Ugh. @suesposa no, no toys or anything. I also got car sick a ton as a kid, but just took Dramamine haha.

I took a half dose of unisom last night and slept so much! Of course I woke up a bit groggy, but it was nice to sleep more.
This morning I have been trying to clean up the house and sort through stuff that's piled up. Some may consider it nesting. I just don't want to go into labor with bills to be paid, papers to be filed, junk to put away, etc and then have to deal with it with a newborn!
I get really motion sick too and it sucks. Sometimes keeping a window open for fresh air helps - not sure if it is super hot where you live, but you could blast the a/c and have a window partially open for a little air.
DH had to go into the office for a bit this morning so B and I are just lounging for now. It's nice. We're normally out of the house by 9 on weekends so DH can work on the house.
He'll be home around 1 and then B and I will head out to target and buybuybaby.

MIL is visiting for the weekend. I'm in my bedroom pumping, with the door closed, and she just walked right in without knocking. Thankfully, she apologized and left pretty quickly. I see I will need to lock the door next time.
Eta: She was looking for scissors. Apparently, she was going to come in and go through my bathroom looking for some.
Boundaries have never been an issue with her until this year.

OMG... not ok. Hopefully the visit isn't too terrible.

shehulk723 I get nauseous in the car in the morning. If I'm drinking something to get my blood sugar up it helps a lot. Maybe give her something cold and to get her blood sugar up right before getting in the car?
The splash pad had a broken bottle on it and the bakery didn't have what S1 was hoping to get this am. Not a great morning.
H has been a huge grump lately. Not getting better:( he isn't getting enough sleep but he isn't doing anything to get more. Go to bed earlier!!!!

MIL asked H if I'm dilated yet. Why do people ask this?!??
Someone at work asked me too. A male. In his late fifties. He is a doctor so I feel like he thinks it's normal to ask I was like uhhh I declined checks thanks.

The only pregnancy advice I got was from men (family, thankfully) in their 50s (not doctors). It was kind of weird.
I had brunch with a friend this morning. I had to walk about eight blocks there and eight back. Between the heat, the weight and the contractions, I was dying on the walk back. I could run six miles a few months ago! Waaah.
On the bright side, my husband is running all all the electricity in the nursery so the sound machine, TV, Roku, monitor, and humidifier will work in there! Then we're going to Ikea to buy the last piece of furniture.
Last doula appointment was last night. Pump is being delivered today. Squee! Almost done done done.

This is ridiculous, but I'm going to say it anyway: with my prior 2 kids, I had supply problems, so my milk never really came in dramatically. I'm still not sure if I'll make *enough* milk, but holy crow do my boobs hurt!!! I finally relate to the whole "rock hard boobs" thing.
My postpartum bleeding has been completely different, too. This kid's been making me feel like a newb for a month already, so I guess she'll be sticking with that theme.
dorkusmalorkus, my recovery has been a lot different with #3 too (the first two were similar). I've been surprised.
Went to BRU and got the preemie nipples for DD3. She has only used it for one bottle, but it made a huge difference so far. It takes about 10x longer to feed her, but I'm so happy it's helping!
