I hope everyone had a good weekend!! DD had no nap yesterday and DS got maybe 3 naps that were all 30 mins or less. Normally he takes nice 2 hour naps. Thankfully last night wasn't too awful!
Our house guests left this morning, but that made the babies stir which made me a bit cranky since I couldn't get them to all go to sleep until after 2 again. I was able to soothe them back to sleep, but that made my boobs start leaking so instead of sleeping more I am attached to the pump. I miss when my babies went to bed at a decent hour. Back to doing some sleep schedule adjusting.

Should I be concerned that L has been sleeping for almost 9 hrs (!?!). She turned 2 months yesterday...this has never happened. I had to pump a bit to relieve the engorgement but I haven't woken her yet. Wondering at what point I should!

DS sleep for 9 hours between feedings last night. I was glad for the sleep since the previous two nights were crazy. Pumping during my first work break and it's a bit strange.

Don't wake a sleeping baby!!! The exception being if you are protecting a sleep schedule AFTER sleep training AND after age 4-6mo....these are the wise words of Dr. Weissbluth, Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby book. Let her sleep and enjoy the quiet
Happy Monday! LO slept until 9:20am after a few wake ups over night. He is now napping. I have already worked out and now i'm folding laundry.
I am SUPER excited for olympic coverage to start this week. My parents have wisely left the country (they live in Brazil) to visit my family in Europe. They said the airports are a hot mess today with all the athletes arriving! They are glad they don't live in Rio!
Today is day 5 of weight watchers and so far, no dip in supply very happy about that!
My pumping out put tanked today but DS hasn't seemed dissatisfied. In going to replace the membranes and see if it helps. I'm assuming this is just a result of not drinking enough water.

I'm also super touchy w/ water intake :/ sucks
Yeah. I'm not really a person who drinks a lot anyway and Ive never been a water fan. But I'm thinking I need to put myself back in water boot camp lol
I've been nursing the same bottle of water all morning.
Does anyone else's kid think their car seat is the devil? I realize it's probably just a phase but I screams from the moment we click him in until the moment we take him out. We had to stop twice to console him before we even hit the highway today (~5 min away) then we cancelled out appointments bc they were ~30 min away and we couldn't stand the screaming that long. Good Lord.
We are going to check and make sure it's still a good fit for him. We did just switch wardrobes to 3-6.
Scary part - we are supposed to travel Wednesday to where we used to live to catch up with old friends. 2.5 hours. God help us.
Other scary. Remember how worried I used to be about the person taking over my old job? Well they resigned. Yep. Great. Now who is going the train the new guy?! I care a little less now but I still care.
We brought DS to his 4 year well check. He was so good. Didn't cry for shots, had a little skin reaction, but all is good. So we went to Toyrus to pick something for being brave, (and use a birthday gift cArd) and fed the growing paw patrol obsession. He was so well behaved. Made the crazy 4 year old days fade away. J travels sleepily through it all.
I joined WW today! My eating habits have been so out of control so I need some accountability. Hopefully supply stays good but I doubt I will even know since I only pump once in the AM.

We had a hugely crazy weekend here with lots of family in town for my graduation. Poor H got passed around so much and didn't really get any naps longer than 30 mins. We are sleeping all day.

I can't believe it's August, either. I'm dreading but excited about all the changes this month. I go back to work, DS1 starts Kindergarten and DS2 starts daycare. I had to pay for daycare for the month and they are only making me pay for the days the kids are going. I was expecting to pay for the whole month, so that is a huge savings! I was so paranoid something would go wrong with childcare and I wouldn't have a backup, but I feel a little better about it now.
Does anyone have labels they recommend for daycare? DS1 went to a home daycare when he was an infant, so we didn't have to label bottles and his last daycare was lax about labeling clothes.

Kiddo Tags!!!! Way cuter ( IMO) then the Mabel's Labels people seem to recommend. Used them with DD1 and now with DD2. They make a daycare pack that has a variety of shapes and sizes you can use.

L hate the carseat until about 2 weeks ago. Make sure shoulder strap isn't too low and that crotch isn't hurting his balls
Happy August! While I'm sad summer's going to be over soon, I'm celebrating the month the awful "fourth trimester" ends! DS is already so much better than his sister was by now but make no mistake he can still be a real PITA We're so close to the stage that I can actually enjoy!
R has been a picky sleeper today only wanting to sleep when I'm holding her. Finally I gave in and decided to hold her for one nap so she didn't stay up all day and she's been asleep on me for 3 hours now! I have to pee so bad. Lol

I try not to mention this too much since I know some people are really struggling with sleep, but A has been sleeping through the night (roughly 8:30pm-7am) for about a month now. This is the age when it's possible developmentally and metabolically - enjoy it!
