Congrats to all the new mamas! All my love and sympathy to everyone else--hang in there! The days go by so quickly right now! Here is a pic of baby's first "ups" at DDs tball game tonight.
So I just had some nasty diarrhea. I was on the toilet for at least half an hour and I would get these waves of poop cramps. Afterwards I realized, maybe those could have been contractions? I am still having some tightening and discomfort but not really pain and the babies are moving a lot so I was attributing it to their positions.
I would know if I was having contractions, right? Like if I have to ask, it's not the real thing?
bocaburger you can have contractions and not realize it! I had contractions for hours before they were painful enough to make me focus. You can always start to time them and see if they have a pattern. Real contractions usually have a time able pattern, even if they are 15 mins apart it's a pattern.
blueinred hugs momma! I was petrified before my first vbac. The unknown is always scary. Have you talked to ob about induction? It is becoming more accepted and evidence based that the bulb inductions are safe. I am biased because I've had 2 induced vbac, but I do recommend at least asking.
I hope you can find some peace in the next 3 weeks. The end is always so rough
bocaburger, keep an eye on those waves! Sounds a lot like early labor was for me with DD! Around 5 am, I was trying to go to sleep and these pesky cramps were keeping me awake. After 8am, I gave up trying to sleep and called my mom. SHE told me over the phone it sounded like I was in labor! I had no idea until then... I was just tired and cranky! LOL I was in the hospital an hour later.
Fx for you that these could be the real deal! Irritable bowels are a good sign!
Well, it never fails. Baby has a nice big feeding, you wrap the perfect swaddle, she's dozing off, and then you hear it - the giant poop squirt! Ok, start over!
bocaburger how's it going? I had some tummy troubles today, followed by cramping and generally feeling terrible, but it didn't go anywhere. What's the scoop on your end?!?

I don't know yet! Trying to sleep but I've only managed a couple hours so far. It's hard to know what's keeping me up though, it could be the reflux or the nausea or maaaaybe it's my uterus?
When my doctor explains the signs of labor it sounds so... obvious. I'm definitely not having pain like she described, but still a lot of tightening. I haven't timed anything because I'm having trouble telling when it starts and ends.
Hugs, blueinred, that's a lot of emotions to grapple with. I hope everything turns out for the best.
redthestral13,congratulations on your beautiful squish!
bocaburger that sounds promising!! The rules about what labor feels like and acts like are based on generalisations but honestly, none of my 3 labors has performed according to the textbook rules. Ever. So I will be stalking you for updates in the next 24 hours :-D
