Good morning ladies!! It's August!

Hope everyone got at least some sleep last night. Baby girl has decided kicking my ribs would be her new pass time last night so I didn't sleep great. I kept having to move to try to push her out of whatever positions she was in.

Ugh @suesposa that sounds miserable!

I also didn't sleep well... couldn't fall asleep until 2, and now it's just past 6 and my body decided it's done sleeping. I don't have a strict schedule these days though so hopefully I can take a nap.

But... It's August!!!! AUGUST!!! BABY MONTH!!! Come on out babies!! Woohooo

You're in a completely different category of sleeplessness, but for whatever it's worth, I went into labor on 2 hours sleep, and the adrenaline got me through labor plus I stayed awake until the wee hours of the morning afterwards and even with nurses waking me up all night felt pretty great on minimal sleep for the following day or two.

DD3 has a pediatrician appointment this morning and I hope she has gained weight.

DH also goes back to work today, so now things really get interesting! Luckily my mom is coming over to watch the big girls so I don't have to try to get them all up, ready, and out the door.

Yayyyy for August!!

hannahbear messaged me last night at about 11:30 EDT. She said that she was checked in and they were getting started and that she had a feeling things would take a while. Haven't heard anything else yet!

I really need to get up. Part of me is thinking about starting maternity leave the week before my RCS. But I work from home so I should really just suck it up and save my leave.

Me too, thanks!! He said the blast woke him up. He didn't give a ton of details but it doesn't sound like it was at his base. The article said it was where foreign contractors were stationed and that the taliban was claiming 100 Americans were killed so i went into panic mode. It doesn't look like that count was accurate at all though.

Its always so tough when family members are in those hardship post type areas. I had a female cousin in Baghdad for awhile and if we didn't hear from her for a couple of days, we began to panic too. When is he due back stateside?

Good morning everyone! Happy August!

Nothing like being asked at 7:30 in the morning if my cervix has done anything yet. By a CW. I want my privacy back PLEASE.

This weekend was uneventful. I finished sealing the dresser I painted and I'm crossing everything that MH will bring it upstairs to the nursery this morning (just so I can AW to you guys!). We got the pack and play set up, my one cat thinks it's his bed now (see below, PDNQ), the Rock and play is in the bedroom along with the bottle warmer and owlet monitor. I just have to make a portable diaper box and bring down a good portion of NB size clothes so that I'm not running up and down the stairs all the time.

My parents are leaving for Tennessee next week to look at houses. I'm a little annoyed because next week I'll be 38 weeks and I really wanted my mom with me in case I was induced. Of course if I ask my OB what's going on with that I won't get an answer so I'm not asking anymore....

agpjt413 he's gone until October 9th, then home for 4 weeks and back again for 3 months. I think he'll probably do it for another year or so and then try to find something here. The money is really good, but it's so dangerous over there.

That's tough steph
When H was in that area I always reminded myself it's not VietNam meaning that the vast majority of people do come home. He said statistically it's safer there than in downtown of some US cities.

I have no other words of wisdom but hugs because it's hard having friends and family there when attacks occur and not letting your mind go to bad places. Also remember sometimes after an attack the Internet is shut off for a while. No news can be good news.

He's with State. I know he does a lot of security stuff and protects high level politicians that come in. He likes what he does, it's exciting and stuff, but yeah- scary.

My mom, MIL, and FIL tried to come into the delivery room while I was getting stitches after tearing. Thankfully a nurse stopped them at the door.

I could see my MIL trying to barge in. She doesn't know I'm pregnant and we set up a visitor restriction so she can't barge in if she did find out.

Okay, it's officially time for me to start bitching about end of pregnancy. I've developed the same blistery itchy/painful bumps all over my fingers that I had with DD1 ( i'm presuming it's because i'm so swollen). For kicks I tried putting my wedding ring on last night - didn't even make it to my middle knuckle. Ahhhhh. 18ish days to go. *I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...*

9 days until RCS. The panic is setting in when I remembered that I will come home to a house my mom has "cleaned" (aka let the kids destroy and then put things in random unintuitive locations). I am glad I have an option and she loves the girls, I just wish she didn't make stuff harder. Families are so messy even when they are overall good!

elebishi I get tiny itchy/painful blister type bumps when I stress out. I called them my "stress bumps". My doc said its "Dyshidrotic eczema". It got really bad once and they gave me a steroid cream that cleared it right up.

ETA- google images is a jerk. mine didn't look nearly as bad as those. I feel for those people... And plus also, hugs. You're gonna make it. We're all going to make it. (I keep repeating this to myself... Lol)
