Week/Fruit/Team: 22 weeks/Spaghetti Squash/Purple
Symptoms/Questions: Feeling more movement, but nothing substantial. C'mon babies!
Appointments this week: Nothing until late August
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Still trying to get 8,000 steps per day and eat more whole foods. I'm glad the heat wave is over in CT.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy?
MH works at a trash to energy plant - basically, they burn garbage and send the ash to landfills. If you ever wanted to know where garbage goes, I know a lot about it. haha. He is very excited about this pregnancy. He actually talks to me quite often about his fears about being a "good dad." I know he's going to be awesome.

Week/Fruit/Team: 19w 1d, Mango, Boy!
Symptoms/Questions: Nothing really exciting...just I have to be careful not to push myself. I have recently been working out 3x a week and then just trying to keep up with a busy schedule on the weekends with summer activities has been taking its toll. I had a run last Friday that I felt like I was ready to just sleep the minute I got home and my tummy muscles ache. We did have our pool/bbq yesterday and it was really fun but I didn't get to bed till 10:30 and well both out Air conditioners went so we were in the basement to keep cool as possible. Its been a lil bit of a struggle.
Appointments this week: @3pm we get to see lil man for the Dr. Anatomy scan and I get to give blood for the second step for my 2step screening.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy? I am working out 3x a week and I try and keep activities with my daughter out and about. Or working in the yard and what not on weekends. It sucks that its getting a lil harder every week. OH and with me working out I have to eat 6 - 7 meals a day to keep up with the needed nutrients. If not I am just so tired and then I start feeling like crap. I am sure cause lil man is taking what he needs and leaving me with very little.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? Hubby works for Ford, hence us moving to Michigan last year. To make things easy, Ford purchases data for all parts of their workings marketing, technology, engineering...so on and so forth. My Hubs is the guy that says the purchase of that data is needed or that its worth what it costs. SO technically he just really good a writing big checks. LOL I am kidding he is definitely the brains in our lil operation. My DH is excited, he is getting more excited. I think he wanted another girl, him and my lil girl are inseparable..they just are ying and yang. I think he thought another girl same thing...lol. But he is starting to talk about the lil man on the way. OH sorry so long winded he did say that he worries he will think DD is his favorite. I just told him that he will love the kids equally, not to worry.
requiressnacks, DH are always I think scared. HELL every parent including moms. My DH is a loving man but with the birth of DD..I have seen a side of him that makes me heart swell. (sorry to get gushy) You two will just learn as you go and do the best you can do! Your parents did the best and look how that turned out.
Week/Fruit/Team: 21/endive (I googled and still don't know what that is)/blue
Symptoms/Questions: I ate salad 4 days in a row and now my stomach has been hurting for the past 24 hours. I think it's gas from all of the salad. I'm getting very frustrated with not feeling this child Sometimes I think I may feel him, but then I decide it's just gas. Also, my stomach muscles are very sore. I read that stretch marks can start appearing soon and your milk can start leaking this week so now I'm terrified of all of that.
Appointments this week: none until next week.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: trying to make myself eat three meals a day is about as good as it gets.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy?: DH is the estimator and foreman at a fabricating company. He is also taking engineering classes although he is taking this semester off. He is beyond excited about this pregnancy. He already has a child from his previous marriage, but it was a really bad situation so he truly doesn't even have any memories of the pregnancy or DD's birth so he is all about everything with this one.

Hi guys! Can't believe we're all at or around the half way mark. It's gone by so fast for me!
Week/Fruit/Team: corn on the cob, and team pink! I don't think I checked in since we started telling people the sex but the anatomy scan was perfect and it's a girl!
Symptoms/Questions: belly seems to be growing like crazy. I feel like the whole bump moved relocated upwards out of my pelvis so it's just looks bigger now. Starting to feel movement I think, and 99% sure we both felt a kick from the outside on Saturday! But I don't feel much most of the time so who knows.
Appointments this week: nothing for two weeks.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: running 2-3 days and weights 2 days...until that feels like too much.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? My husband is an accountant like me! He's excited but nervous of course. He says he doesn't know what to do with a girl but I know he'll be great.
After almost three years of TTC, IVF #1 = Menopur + Follistim + other stuff. Retrieved 14, 12 mature, 7 fertilized, only 1 (6AA) made it to day 5 blast. BFP! DD born 12-10-2016
Week/Fruit/Team: 21 (tomorrow) - pomegranate(does this remind anyone else of the bachelor w/ the pomegranate ha ha) - team GREEN!
Symptoms/Questions: Heartburn galore.... I had it mildy here and there since the beginning of this pregnancy, but the last week or two it's really vamped up and become unbearable sometimes. It's mainly my only symptom.
Appointments this week: None for a bit yet... I think my next appointment is either the week of the 15th or 22nd, I can't remember.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Trying to drink more water... I've kind of just been eating whatever, nothing terrible but not salads everyday. I'm still at the same weight I was when I got pregnant, so I'm hoping that once I do start to gain that it doesn't get too out of control. I had gained 25 lbs w/ G.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? DH works for a tree company, so the poor guy has been working outside in this humidity lately... basically, they trim trees along the power lines and do storm damage work. He's very excited about this pregnancy!! It's weird though... we're really busy with G (she's 14 months today!!) and not that it makes this pregnancy any less exciting, but it's just different since we're busy with her and finishing our house. I think that's the reason that we've been able to stay team green and not be bothered by it.
Symptoms/Questions: My usual achy back and a flare up of my sciatic nerve this past week.
Appointments this week: My anatomy scan is this Friday! I'm excited but I don't think DH will be able to go with me so that sucks.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy? Trying to walk each day and not eat out so much (usually weekends). The heat has finally toned down so it's been nice to get outside. But now after I do my usual walks I feel pooped. Sometimes going up and down the stairs at home makes me tired. Not out of breath but I feel like I need to sit down.
GTKY: My DH is a large format screen printer. He prints out the logos for the semi-trucks. Last year he printed out the Jimmy John's black and white menus. He'd like to get a CDL license. He's driven trucks in Mexico but the U.S. has it's regulations so this year he's working on it. He's happy about the pregnancy, he's always wanted a big family. He's so devoted to DS that in a way I had hoped for a girl so he'd favor her in a different way. Now with 2 boys, I really hope he is as crazy in love with DS#2 as with #1.
IVF+ICSI March 2016 (6R/5M/5F - 3 embryos on ice) 4/7/16: first ever BFP! EDD: 12/17/16 DS Arrived via C-Section 12/19/16! FET #1 June 2019 - 1 embryo didn't survive thaw & the one that did didn't stick around. BFN FET #2 September 2019 - last embryo didn't survive thaw.
Appointments this week: A/S THURSDAY!!! I'm SO ANXIOUSSSSSSSSSS
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: I should check youtube for prenatal workouts to do while I'm home alone (H works Wednesday-Saturday) ... "Should" being the operative word there.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? H was essentially a manager of a big box retail store for YEARS, but he has recently stepped down into a more support-style role. It's less stress and fewer hours, a small pay cut, but he was beginning to have some health issues related to the stress that they had him under constantly. He is really excited about the baby, but he's very nervous as well, since his own father wasn't really around much or in the picture too often for him to have any kind of positive role model type feelings about that relationship. He's gonna be an awesome dad though. He's already a great dad to all of our cats, lol.
IVF+ICSI March 2016 (6R/5M/5F - 3 embryos on ice) 4/7/16: first ever BFP! EDD: 12/17/16 DS Arrived via C-Section 12/19/16! FET #1 June 2019 - 1 embryo didn't survive thaw & the one that did didn't stick around. BFN FET #2 September 2019 - last embryo didn't survive thaw.
@kc295905, My DH wasn't very hands on with DS as a newborn either. Scared to bathe him and just wanted him to be bigger and able to do stuff. I still remember how he'd try to maneuver DS's little arm around his neck like he was getting a hug from him.
Week/Fruit/Team: 19w3d/Zucchini/Team Pink Symptoms/Questions: Fatigue still, sacral pain from a now-inflamed old hip injury. Appointments this week: Nothing for about a month. What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Starting my yoga daily and then just in general I'll be up and about more now with work starting back up.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? Hubs is a firmware engineer, his company makes touchscreens and touchscreen programs. That's really all I understand about it, lol. He's really excited about the pregnancy. He's actually doing his honey-do list each weekend with regards to nursery projects. Everyone is really excited to see him with a little girl, me included.
@kc295905, I know... it's weird. I didn't really gain with her either until around 20 weeks, so I'm assuming it'll start creeping on?? I'm already a little overweight anyway, so that might have something to do with it.
Symptoms/Questions: Lots of kicks. She really needs to lay off of my bladder. It turns out my bladder issue isn't an infection, just a baby who really likes to kick box with it!
Appointments this week: Regular OB appt tomorrow AM
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: My blood sugar is so out of whack. It's scary low in the mornings and I have to eat constantly throughout the day to keep it in the low normal range. I wake up in the 40's/50's most mornings and aim for above 70 throughout the day. I'm seeing the dietician next Tuesday and have a referral to endocrinology (just waiting for them to call!).
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? -- H is a web designer. He's so excited about this baby. It was so weird because he was absolutely totally done for the longest time. I wanted another baby, but had resigned myself to it just not happening, especially once I hit 35. We've never had even a pregnancy scare since DD was born. Then one day he was all "Let's have another baby." and I was knocked up before I could blink.

Week/Fruit/Team: 20!!!!!!/banana/find out Wed
Symptoms/Questions: RLP is kicking my arse again, but other than that I'm ok
Appointments this week:Wed is the anatomy scan and Thurs is my regular OB appt (they're a small office and don't do the anatomy scan in house)
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Blood sugars are behaving better again..I found out that the splenda I was using had a sugar additive in it and it was spiking me in the mornings..now that I've discovered the cause, I've start drinking something else and got it under control
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? DH does tech support for the Veteran's Administration. He's excited, but like me he's very guarded since we've been hurt in the past. He's also super anxious b/c he always gets that way about money and he knows our health insurance is nowhere near as good as it was with DD and we'll have a 6k deductible to cover before insurance covers the rest.
@kc295905, I know... it's weird. I didn't really gain with her either until around 20 weeks, so I'm assuming it'll start creeping on?? I'm already a little overweight anyway, so that might have something to do with it.
Man! I don't even want to say how much I've gained. I hear it's harder and harder to lose the weight with subsequent children too :/
not happy to hear that. I lost the baby weight last time before hitting the 3 mo mark and an addtl 10 lbs by 6 mo pp. I NEED that to happen again!
The way I look at it is.... you'll be so busy chasing around TWO little ones that it'll come off easier... so don't worry too much. Lol!
I totally thought I'd be one of those people that would have to really struggle to lose the weight initially, but I had lost it all within 10 days. HOWEVER, once I stopped breastfeeding around 6 months I gained 20 of the 25 back. LOL. So, I'm starting out this pregnancy already 20 lbs than I had been originally.
requiressnacks I was back east last week and it made me realize why people hate being pregnant in the summer. that humidity, ugh. brit365 the prospect of the boob leakage freaks me out too! hmr11913 my heartburn is off the charts too, though I had reflux before pregnancy so it isn't that different. Tums are my BFF these days. lastnamewithheld you're going to have an awesome appointment on Thursday! don't be anxious! @cahistoryteacher we are twins this week - pink zucchinis with techie husbands and asshole former hip injuries tbonequeen13 good luck at the a/s this week!
Week/Fruit/Team: 19/zucchini/pink
Symptoms/Questions: Still feeling good pregnancy symptom-wise; still not feeling super pregnant to be honest, aside from the lil bump and some hip pain Still fighting off a bad cold - being sick while pregnant is the worst! I've been coughing so much that now when I cough I feel like I'm pulling a muscle down by my ute. Fun fun.
Appointments this week: Total freedom this week. A/S next week!
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Trying to get over this cold, and trying to eat more protein and good fats. I have only gained 5lbs so far - is that OK?
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? H is the best! He is so excited to be a dad, especially since it took us 2 years to get to this point. He takes good care of me when I feel like crap and entertains my constant researching and reading and being a general nerd about baby stuff
Symptoms/Questions: Lots of movement starting- very exciting
Appointments this week: Nothing this week, I have my MFM consult next week.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Lots of water, fruit, and now that the heat wave is over I'm hoping to start walking more.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? DH works in supply chain logistics for a major retailer. He is so excited for the twins to arrive- if he could put me in bubble wrap to make sure they arrive safe ad sound he would.
emilie I was told to only gain 5lbs this trimester so I'm sure you're fine. I'm supposed to "save my weight gain for the end." I was overweight to begin with and having limited appetite has helped.
emilie is your dr worried about your weight gain? Not sure if it was here or elsewhere but I've read women who are the same weight or weigh less than pre-preg and their pregnancy is fine. I think it was even a mom with twins who that happened too. As long as baby is growing you're ok.

My doctor has given me a little bit of grief but nothing too terrible. I am on the thin side so she wants me to gain 25-35 lbs this pregnancy.
Symptoms/Questions: I started having (what I think are) braxton hicks contractions. What I read says it's normal anytime after 20 weeks, but it still freaks me out. Also, the mild heartburn I used to get has turned into nasty heartburn/indegestion all the time, so that sucks. Lots of baby movements, I'm loving it. I missed this stage so much!
Appointments this week: Elective 3D u/s on Wednesday and then a normal OB appointment on Friday.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?:
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? He's a supervisor in the grains department of an ethanol plant. They take in dried corn from local farmers and via the railway and process it and make ethanol and then ship that out. He's getting there. I think having a 3rd girl was disappointing to him, he really was wanting a boy, but now that we are able to feel her move he's starting to get more into it.
I want to play... Being stuck on mobile at work sucks, but I'm home now.
So many anatomy scans this week! Hoping to hear a bunch of great news from you all! emilie, I hope your cold goes away soon! Being sick when you can't much in terms of medicine is the pits.
Week/Fruit/Team: 19 / mango and/or heirloom tomato? / Team Green
Symptoms/Questions: Little jabs and flutters from movement! That part is super fun. Also some heartburn and this stretched, tight feeling in my abs as soon as I eat even a small snack. That's not such fun.
Appointments this week: Anatomy scan on Saturday. I cannot wait.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: I've been more or less sidelined in terms of exercise since the stupid car accident/sprained ankle, but I just bought a recumbent exercise bike and I'm pretty excited to put it together. It also sounds appealing ATM because I can get all my cardio done in the house while it's sweltering hot outside.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy?
DH is a technical writer/quality assurance contractor for the IRS - his team develops some of the back-end software that enables e-filing of taxes. It sounds boring to me, but he seems to enjoy it most of the time so more power to him. He's very excited about this pregnancy and is currently waiting impatiently to be able to feel the baby move from the outside. Excitement aside, I think he needs something like that to grasp that this is all real.
brit365, don't worry about the stretch marks. It was something I was very upset and worried about until a good friend told me, "If you get them, you get them. It's not a big deal and just think of it as a souvenir of what your body just did." Plus, you can always get laser surgery to remove them
I've told DH that when we're done having kids, I want a tummy tuck and laser surgery for my stretch marks

Week/Fruit/Team: 20w (on Thursday)/banana?/team PINK
Symptoms/Questions: nothing too bad, other than heartburn when I eat something too spicy... lots of little movements here and there, mostly pokes and jabs.
Appointments this week: the usual scan for anemia on Friday
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: really working on drinking enough water. I'm not great about drinking enough water during the day, and I think the other day it caught up to me.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? DH is an accountant for a small manufacturing company, but he's looking for other opportunities since he's underpaid, and the company isn't doing well/cut everyone's hours/pay recently. He is definitely excited, especially now that we know it's a girl (and that we are done with this one), but like me he's going week by week with our blood issue. So far everything has been good, and baby girl is moving a lot which is a great sign!
Symptoms/Questions: low BP I think since I feel faint if I have to stand for any period of time (walking okay, sitting okay, standing not so much), RLP and maaaaaybe I felt the baby twitch/kick from the outside last night? Mostly up until now just bubbles every few days.
Appointments this week: Anatomy scan this Friday. Excited to see her again.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Trying not to stress about weight gain but also eating a bit better. We were at an all-inclusive (minus alcohol) for all last week and I definitely ate more dessert than normal. So I'm trying to just change my habits going forward but not get hung up on the number on the scale. I gained a lot of weight with DS last time but am doing a better job of being active this time. Mostly trying to have a healthy mentality about it all.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? DH is excited to have another kid, but definitely not super excited about pregnancy/baby stage. He's been really supportive the last week or so when I've been tired and also making sure I am getting to the exercise classes I need. Oh! And taking care of DS that week I was in the hotel. How could I forget about that? He has an office job that's much better than the lawyer job he used to have.
