That's the plan! We'll see how it goes at the anatomy scan. I know I will have a really hard time not watching every second while the tech is checking things out.
Week/Fruit/Team: 19 / zucchini, tomato, mango / Team blue
Symptoms/Questions: Flutters every once and a while.
Appointments this week: Anatomy scan was yesterday. Got an almost clean bill of health. Little dude has a borderline dilated ureter/ kidney. Doctor wants a repeat scan at 28 weeks to monitor. Apparently it is somewhat common in boys, so I'm trying not to spiral down the Dr. Google what ifs. And he is currently in breech position.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Just trying to stay active on the weekends. I feel like I have no time during the week. And watching what I eat.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? DH is currently an App Developer for a local university. He is excited about the pregnancy, but it is still an abstract for him. He couldn't understand anything on the screen at the scan yesterday. It didn't help that baby was uncooperative and didn't give us a good profile shot. DH couldn't even tell when we got the boyhood confirmation picture.
Week/Fruit/Team:21 / Carrot (or Chipotle burrito or Dremel rotary tool!) / Blue
Symptoms/Questions: Lots of movement! Not just little flutters anymore, but big thumping kicks that can be felt on the outside too. Other than that, still with the really annoying stuffy nose.
Appointments this week: A/S on Monday! Super excited to see baby boy again.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Walking the dog and trying to stay fairly active during the day; trying to eat reasonably healthy (pros: mmm, I love broccoli! cons: mmm, I love chocolate pudding too . . .)
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? DH owns his own business in an alternative energy related field. He is excited about the pregnancy. I think it is becoming more real and exciting to him as we have seen baby boy on the 3D ultrasound, as he has been able to feel some kicks, and as I now have a more visible bump.

Just wanted to follow up....LO didn't really cooperate with the anatomy scan, she had our back to us and wouldn't move. They saw the spine, kidneys, leg and arm bones, hands, feet, and brain and they all looked good but we'll have to go back to see all the stuff they need to see from the front (nasal bone, heart, etc)...I have an anterior placenta which is news to me b/c I feel like I've been feeling pretty consistent flutters lately, but luckily we have a 3 vessel cord this time (DD only had a 2 vessel cord)...also, it's good we had the Panorama done b/c LO didn't want to give up the goods...I'm proud to announce that....
Symptoms/Questions: All of a sudden, my wedding ring doesn't fit on my finger anymore. Hoping this is temporary, becuase it seems too soon for that! Lots of movement, and my husband finally felt it last night!
Appointments this week: None until later in August.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Going to my second barre class of the week after work today. The workouts seem to help me sleep better, at least.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? My husband does business development for a real estate firm. He's very excited about this pregnancy, as he's been wanting it for a long time. What he doesn't know about babies (a lot) he makes up for in enthusiasm. Sometimes I have to reel him back in, but I know he'll be a great dad.
Symptoms/Questions: Little Bean has been bouncing all over the place! Still tired and hungry, but we're good. No complaints!
Appointments this week: A/S TODAY! I'm not finding out what baby is, but I'm still excited to see my squish.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: I've worked out every day. I rowed Monday, went for a walk Tuesday and did the elliptical yesterday. Since I'm skipping out of work early and not taking a lunch, tonight's exercise will be a quick walk around the block with DS and yoga after he goes to bed.
GTKY: Let's talk about our spouses/partners. What do they do for work? Are they excited about this pregnancy? DH is in the Navy and he's pretty darn excited! I'm sad he's missing out on so much of the pregnancy, but he's probably happy to not have to deal with the emotional roller coaster I can be. We can't wait for him to get home and enjoy the last few weeks before the baby arrives!
lola, I have an eternity band for my wedding ring/e-ring (I only have one) and I took it off starting in the third trimester because I was so worried it would get stuck and have to be cut off!
legalbeagle I've (hopefully temporarily) switched over to a ring from my right hand that's three interlocking bands. I'm hoping if I reduce my sodium intake and drink more water things will get better.
lola, I've also got swelling going on. But I think it was more the infertility weight gain has made it that my rings don't fit.
Speaking of swelling, this week, all of a sudden, I started waking up with painful wrists and tingling fingers. So I googled and apparently you can get pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome. I was in so much pain yesterday that I messaged my OB through their online portal and they said to go to my primary. Had an appointment this morning and now I get to wear wrist splints as much as I can. They do offer me a lot of relief, but it's going to be a long 20 more weeks wearing double wrist splints. Crossing my fingers delivery offers relief like it should.
