I don't wanna work today. I just want to put my head down on my desk until I'm on maternity leave. Actually I just want to go back to bed until I'm on leave but that's asking for a lot huh? I'm blaming my thyroid, but I'm sure it's just laziness lol.
My SD being home while I'm working is driving me crazy. The attitude is just insane. And she's only 12. This is not a fun time.

I don't have thyroid issues and I'm feeling all of that. I'm ready to not work for a while. I'm so lazy and don't feel like doing anything. It takes lots of motivation to get anything accomplished.
Sorry your SD is giving you a hard time. That attitude seems to start early for some! (My younger sister was pretty rough from an early age)

remylove1011. It's insane. My parents would've grounded me for life! She's all pissy because I won't drop her off at a random playground, in a random development, to hang out with random people. You're 12- absolutely not. And DH told her no last night so I'm not sure why this is such a surprise.
gratefulgirl I'd probably be more productive in an office setting right now. Usually it's quite the opposite. I go into the local office every once in a while and get slammed with questions and issues since I'm there in person so I get no work done. It's so hard not to just move to the couch...
steph - my thyroid is functioning fine and I get waves during the day of just not having any energy. It's like senioritis. I think I've napped every night for the past week when I got home from work. My husband woke me up last night when he got home and I just never recovered. Oops.
youdontsay - yay! Thank you for also wondering these things with me. I get really stressed by pelvic exams only in that I want to be clean. I hate the idea of not being so, not knowing, and the doctor being all "Gawd, this patient."
thelorax - I haven't packed a hospital bag either. It's not like I can even carry it around with me (we don't drive anywhere) so no matter what, my husband would have to go home and get it while I went to the hospital (if things happened while away from the house). I'll get there. Maybe tonight?
I'm definitely having a case of senioritis at work. Granted, it's slow in the summer here but it's not just the work. Anything my CWs say just drive me up the wall. I also hate being asked random pregnancy questions or being called "mommy" or "mama". I'm not a mom yet until she's out and okay.
Also sorry for the confusion my doctor appointments are tomorrow. So excited.

You know who can call me "mommy" and "mama?" My kids. Also I have yet to correct my mom because she's trying to be sweet. But if I did not give birth to you, what are you doing calling me mama? This is a pet peeve of mine.
Damn, I totally said "you got this mama!" to hannahbear in a message the other day. Didnt even think about it. Annnnd now I feel like an asshole. Thanks and noted!! Dammit brain- lol

Actually I also don't mind when TCF-ers say it. I feel like it's a solidarity thing then.

FTR it doesn't bother me at all when people call me mama, so it might not bother her either. :-) And regardless it was well intentioned, so you're definitely not an asshole.
Hospital bags put in the car, H put the car seat in last night, and waiting another half hour to call the advice nurse again. When I had called half an hour ago, I was having (painless) contractions every 3-4 minutes lasting about 1 minute each. It sounds like we may be going to the hospital a few days before scheduled induction.

It's different if someone else said it. My CWs have been overly intrusive during my whole pregnancy. I feel like I'm giving birth to an office baby, not my baby. This CW also calls her grandsons "my babies" and it drives her daughter nuts.
I've been asked to email photos every day while on leave and to bring her in to visit. Yeah, no. This is a hospital and it's a gross one at that.

shanny - I'm interested to hear what they tell you to do! I've lost count of the # of times I've had regular but painless contractions now, that unfortunately didn't progress. At this point though, if they were that close together I would totally want to go in and hope to get this show on the road. Fingers crossed!
hummingbird125, we shall see in a few minutes! Just in the past few, the contractions have slowed...and it's been over 10 minutes since the last one. I definitely don't want us to have to drive an hour away to come right back though.
Total random for you guys. About a year ago, maybe longer, I started looking up towns in Florida. I hate the cold, and I'm all about living closer to Disney lol. So I picked out a nice town and i send DH houses from Zillow constantly
I was talking to a coworker about wawa's and how I'd miss them if I moved. I looked up store locations and sure enough there's one "coming soon!" in that town in Florida. It's a sign right!?!

steph - I live in NY and work in NJ and I am with you on being over the cold and ready to move south! DH and I are planning to move down to the Charlotte area within the next year and I cannot wait. I browse houses constantly 😊

(I know I'm being a PW today, but I have NOTHING to do)
Hugs, bocaburger - I have had that same crying fest several times and I'm also amazed that my husband hasn't left me yet. I know we do all the hard work, but these guys are saints for putting up with our moods swings! Hang in there ❤️

Don't get me wrong I love the Carolina's, but the weather this summer has made me miss some of the cooler MI days. I basically never go outside if I can avoid it!

shanny. B asks me every day when we can go back to Disney. She wasn't even 3 yet when we went almost a year ago and still remembers all the little details. We had so much fun. And I love all the restaurants! All about the food.... Hahaha.
hummingbird125 my parents and siblings have all been talking about moving to myrtle beach for a while now. It's just so cold in the winter and too expensive to live up here- and it's not like we're getting lots of extra goodies paying all these taxes!
As the ice eating predicted, I'm anemic! Eh, it's not bad, though. The night before the blood draw, I'd had a hamburger for dinner so my number was probably slightly higher than it would be - say - today.
I promised to eat more red meat and spinach to avoid iron pills for now.
Other than that, chilling at 37w1d and not expecting a thing for several weeks now.
I know you are having a hard time eating right now, so quick tip I learned when I was anemic in junior high and high school. Peanut butter is pretty high in iron! So if you really don't feel like you can handle a steak have a spoonful of peanut butter as often as you can. It will also help you get some needed calories.
