@suesposa what's going on for you and baby today?!
Those assholes* cancelled me!! One hospital completely shut down and another closed their L&D ward so my hospital has had an influx of pregnants. They had no beds available this morning so they called and cancelled my induction.
*They are actually very nice people. I'm just slightly peeved about the situation.
Sorry to be a PW. Quick question. I'll be 38 weeks on Friday, and we're planning to drive 2 hours to buy a new car on Saturday. I have gone overdue with both of my previous pregnancies. Would you ladies be comfortable with that, given that labor technically *could* happen then? I'm debating if I should go or just let my husband do it.
I would. We drove 4 hours round trip Saturday at 39 and change and I did the same drive at 41 weeks with DD #1. I actually was given no travel restrictions this time.
Thanks for the responses ladies. Yeah, I'll probably go. Who am I kidding, this kid isn't coming out for at least 3 more weeks.
agpjt413, we've succumbed to the pressure and are going the minivan route! Just seems the most plausible with 3 little ones. I am excited though - who doesn't love a new vehicle!?
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)
remylove1011 I also love a good deal I got the ameda through insurance too, but I have a Medela I'll use more. FFC- I was kind of hoping the ameda would come in the normal packaging and I could just return it to BBB for a gift card and buy myself other nursing stuff. It did not.

Haha, yeah mine just came in a box too. The bright side of buying it off amazon is that I'd registered for the travel bag and can now return that (like $60!) so I'll have a bit of credit to BBB.

I sent that to my sister. She's meh about flossing. I can't not floss. It's going to sound weird, but I feel like if I can't blow air between my teeth, it's a problem. My teeth are super tight, and I'm super psychotic.... Lol
I want to print this and mail it to my mom. She definitely randomly brought a friend of hers (who I barely talk to) over the day after we got home with B. And she was coughing all over the place.
Well I have an eviction date. C section on Friday I'm so nervous last delivery was vaginal so I'm sort of freaking out lol
I have a friend who has a very similar family structure to yours (older singleton then twins) and did vaginal then c-section. She was my favorite when she told me her recoveries from both were about the same. YMMV of course, but there's one hopeful story!

Rama, I'm exactly the same weather-wise. I grew up in Vancouver, Canada where it never got too hot, never got too cold and was always kind of 50s/60s with overcast skies and drizzle and I LOVED IT. It used to be that way - I understand from my friends who live there now that their rainfall is way down and temperatures are way up, sadly. Now we live in SoCal and I hate that we don't get seasons. It's just smoggy, hot and gross for most of the year, and then we get a brief slightly cooler period. We haven't even had a decent rainy season in 5 years.
elebishi I got my pedicure done but I'm on the fence about getting waxed - I know it would make me feel better but I also don't know that I feel like going through the motions of making and keeping the appt.
I went to my 37 week appt today and my OB said everything is closed up and nothing is happening. That surprised both of us because I have been having nausea, menstrual-like cramps, lots of lightning crotch, etc. Honestly, I am happy for her to stay in until her due date, or even a few days after, because of how my mom is getting here early and staying late. The less time there is for my mom to be physically in my husband's space and vice versa, the better.
steph, I have the same feelings about flossing. Also cannot stand the slightest bit of food stuck in my teeth. I always carry a tiny sample thing of floss in my bag just in case.

Yeah, the PNW has had a rough couple of years. :( Last year was unbearable, so it's better than that, but still definitely up in temps and down in rainfall. I miss the rainy season.
DD asked me when the baby is coming because 'mommy, you're so big'. I've only gained 20 pounds but I look like I'm carrying an enormous beachball. Out of the mouth of a 4 year old.
@suesposa, how frustrating. I think I would be hyperemotional.
pbandjelly. Congratulations on your baby's milestone. Doubling his weight is enormous.

This is a little late- but still want to share my knowledge. When I was in early labour I called my aunt who is a L&D nurse to make sure I was feeling real contractions. She said that when you have the pain to press your fingers into the top of your uterus. It should tighten. Tightness that feels like pushing your nose is a mild contraction, like pushing your chin is a moderate contraction, like pushing your forehead is a strong contraction.
