So excited! My sister (almost 4 years older and mom to 4 boys aged 10-nearly 6) just let me know she worked out plans to come visit in September! She lives back east, I am out here west coast, and we weren't sure she would be able to make it out to visit us (my mom is local to me). Last time I saw her was right after DD1 was born, and she totally saved my mommy sanity then. I am really happy she worked it out to be able to come again.
That's what I'm saying! I can't imagine going through all of that and signing a bunch of docs dorkusmalorkus. Sounds like you handled it well though and that jacuzzi sounds amazing!!

I was actually really skeptical about the tub, but DH suggested it so I figured I'd try it, and aside from the water being a little cool, it was really nice! I do think it helped.
It's my H's birthday so I might have to have sex. Maybe it will work in my favor and start some contractions? Do orgasms matter for this purpose? Or will quickies in the shower work just as well?

Orgasm can't hurt!! I think it's the prolactin in the sperm that will cause contractions. I get them every time

Orgasms for sure help. The prostaglandins in the sperm act on the cervix (and maybe encourage contractions too?). Oxytocin, the hormone released during orgasms, directly stimulates uterine contractions. (Pitocin is just a synthetic form of oxytocin.)
Baby has been super quiet in there today. I'm drinking cold water and laying down, but he's just been super subdued. When do I call the on call doctor to be talked off the ledge? If I don't get 10 kicks in 2 hours, right?

Ya that's what I was told. I was also told to go straight to L&D if there are NO kicks in 2 hours
