I tried to be a real adult this morning and went to the groccery store after I dropped the dog off at grooming. I sort of forgot to account for putting them away and finishing to get ready for work. So a bunch of bags got thrown in the fridge and I'll figure it out later. Lol.
J and I bought a bottle of wine with dinner last night. We always laugh so much when we do that. It was awesome.

My unit is kind of hiding me right now. I was to go to a new place on base when I can back from everything with the IVF, but I was ordered to report to my old work cause they are fighting to keep me longer. It's nice to be wanted. ☺️

DW and I tried to mount a TV on the wall last weekend but we were having trouble finding the studs in the wall and think there might be a heating duct there too, so I called a contractor friend to help. He finally let me know he'll be able to come tomorrow and I'm going to surprise R with it being done when she gets home from work. I love surprising her!

So yesterday I took c and e to the mall and c was getting ahead of me at Barnes and noble. I decided to let her get ahead in an attempt for her to think she lost me and get scared, and hopefully stay close by next time. I read in a parenting book this can work well.
So she ran ahead to the train table and I hid behind an aisle of books. She played for at least 5 minutes until she said "mommy?"
When I didnt respond she kept playing like nothing happened. I hope I don't lose this kid for real someday as I don't think she will care at all!
Also learned its best to always have a car seat handy to put e in even if I plan to wear her the whole time in case I need to deal with C. I should know this by now but now I know it is imperative with her!
mahler5 I was just talking with my mom about that last week. I was always scared to run off on my own. But my mom had to learn the hard way. At their groccery store growing up she used to like to go look at the magazines, her mom told her if she didn't stay with her in the store she would leave her there. Well one day it happened. Grandma just left without her and my mom had to sit in front of the store for about a hour until she decided to come back and pick her up. She was 5ish. Different times for sure!
