I stopped cutting up DSs (2) grapes a few weeks ago. I cut them up today out of fear of him choking after reading all the grape stuff. It was as if I shouldn't not do incase the universe was trying to tell me.
I stopped cutting DD1s awhile back too and then read some story about a toddler choking on one... so she's getting grape halves until she's 18.

Lol, I still cut blueberries in 1/2. Grapes are in fourths over here!
I'm pretty sure E ate a piece of dog food when we were visiting my mom last month. I heard him crawling near the dish and I chased him down. He didn't have anything in his mouth, but it did smell like dog food.

I havent given DD grapes because im so scared. We have given her blueberry and cut those in half.
It was @hazeldublin, but I kind of shrugged too. Isn't that what little boys do? I did ask DH to keep a closer eye on him since he was the one sitting in the same room with him.

I'm about 99.9% sure DS has, too. He's obsessed with the dog dishes and that's the first place he normally goes if you turn and try to do something for a minute. Also has chewed on dog toys. It's not something we encourage, obviously, and try to stop/re-direct as much as possible, but I kind of feel like it's bound to happen when you mix kids with dogs.

Lol, what kind of dogs do you all have that leave food in the dish?? Ours scarfs hers like we're never going to feed her again. Charlotte has availed herself to the dog's water dish though. She apparently thinks it's her own personal swimming pool-__-

+1 to my kid eating dog food and splashing in the water bowl. I put one of those dish drying mats under his stuff so at least it soaks up the water. They also share the Cheerios after A dumps them on the floor.

Jilly is a special snowflake. Sometimes she'll leave food in her bowl for ages, or just graze on it little bits at a time. Every once in a while she'll inhale it. But she's had this eating habit her whole life, and she's 8, so we just do our best to keep DS away. I think he's slowly starting to understand those bowls are off limits though, he seems to respond better to "no" when he's around them lately.

Growing up, we've always left food available for our dogs to eat, and they just eat when they are hungry. My mom's pug has a dish like this: My youngest brother has noticed that the pug actually rations his food too, and the less there is in the container the less he eats. When it's full, then he eats a little extra because he sees that he has plenty.

Jasmine def snagged a few pieces of my sisters dogs food over the weekend.. I got one from her hand and one from her mouth and sent her on her way playing. Several minutes later I see her sloshing something around in there and she had squirreled a piece away in her cheeks lol. She's such a chipmunk.

@imapenguin, totally give lo cheerios to throw for the dog. Can keep him in his chair for an extra fifteen minutes easily, especially since he throws a single one for the dog and then eats one and repeats, over and over.
Confession: I put on lo's air conditioner during his nap not realizing I'd taken the vent put of the window a few days ago. When he woke up his room was sooo warm. Oops.
We went to a playdate yesterday and the hostess served grapes as a snack. A mom of twin 2 year old's gave her kids whole grapes. While her back was turned I cut them in half.
This is why I quit TCF. The @jemomma in my mind would never cut grapes, she's too busy shopping and being snarky while kids watch tv. Miss you B!

I'm so confused. I'm not sure if you're trying to insult me or compliment me. But if me cutting up a child's grapes ruined your impression of me I'm not sure you ever really understood who I was to begin with.
Welcome back?
I was joking, obviously didn't come off right! Never pictured you as a grape cutter upper, but the image of you cutting them up behind someone's back cracks me up. Definitely didn't mean to offend you, and I only quit TCF because I was having panic attacks about moving and too overwhelmed to follow and keep up as an active participant. Clearly consumed too many bushwhackers at the birthday party to get my response worded correctly, so I apologize. You have always been one of my favorite posters.
