Congrats kaitkat! I can't believe how much bigger baby B is! 😊
I am feeling much better today, took it easy yesterday and the dr didn't seem to want to see me unless I had other symptoms like a fever or clots or whatever. He is convinced that there is nothing left inside of me because I did have a retained placenta that he had to manually retrieve (yes--ow, no epidural) and he said he was very thorough (sure felt like he was) and checked the placenta carefully for pieces that looked like they might have been left behind. However, I am skeptical. If it happens again I'm going to the ER.

Just bought a baby doll as a gift for DD 'from her little sister'. I can't wait to give it to her! It has a bed and can be fed and pee and stuff so I'm hoping it can distract her if she tries being overly helpful with the newborn.

I'm planning to get doll baby stuff for DD too. She loves playing with her dolls so I also hope it'll distract her when she wants to help.

DH is making poached pears for supper. I may have not added the whole bottle of wine. There May be about two table spoons left. Those two tablespoons may have found their way to a glass siting next to me. It's a cheep sweet red wine, not really my style but I intend to drink it!

A few weeks ago DD1 got baby siater a present, she picked out what was her favorite toy as a new baby. So today baby sister ordered her some Peppa Pig figures, stickers, and a Peppa pig toddler back pack. She is going to be thrilled!
I must have actually gotten huge. It is super funny to me to have someone who hasn't seen me for a few weeks just kinda gawk for a minute before saying all the platitudes.
Aaaand I just got a nice object lesson that my property manager is full of shit. Supposedly, my apartment and the one next door don't share water lines. Then please tell me how I lost shower pressure and got slightly scalded when the neighbor flushed their toilet? Fuckers. /scowl

If you're 23 months old and your mother is having a baby via c-section in 4 days, what do you decide to do? Get yourself half way out of the crib, to the point where in a few more good tries you're going to be able to scale that thing.
2 yr old got a babydoll too. He named her Gracie and walks around with her bottle feeding her and mickey. He also likes getting her wrapped in a blanket.
