Good morning! It was so incredibly hard to get up this morning. Julia was still sleeping in our bed when I had to get up, which means I had to wake her up. It just feels so wrong to wake a sleeping baby!

I'm starting to question our decision to put Julia in daycare part time. She started last week, only going on Tues and Thurs. I almost think we should've put her in full time, at least to start, because I think it's going to be harder for her to adjust when she's only going twice per week. DH said drop-offs have been heart-wrenching. I'm glad it's him doing it because if it were me, I would probably just scoop her back up and run out with her.

Morning! The Nyquil I took last night at 11pm is still in my system. I'm a loopy mess. But apparently I'm like that without Nyquil. I just looked at the to-do list for today I made before I left work yesterday and I wrote 2/7/15 as the date. I need some sleep.

Hugs sleepymonkey, The transition to daycare is hard no matter how much they go. LO is only doing part-time too and while he has adjusted to being there, his schedule looks nothing like our home schedule. Our daycare director said it takes a few weeks for them to adjust and I am sure it is harder on Julia since she has been home with you for the past year.

Thanks. The director said that drop-offs usually get worse before they get better and it's harder on the part-time kids. The only thing that makes me feel better is when I call to check on her, they tell me she's been laughing and smiling a lot so she's obviously not miserable all day. I really feel like this is the right decision, though, because she needs to have some sort of socialization with other children closer to her age. She loves older kids (5+) but is so shy around other toddlers.

This is the 1 reason I wish Sarah was in daycare. When #2 comes around we plan to put her in at least part time.
I'm also busy at work today. I did apply for a couple of jobs this morning so I'm hoping to hear back from them. My end date is 3/20 so it's coming up fast. My boss did say that I could stay until June if I wanted. I will, but I don't want to.

HUGs sleepymonkey. My twins cried at drop-off for 3 years and they had been going to the same daycare full time since they were 3 months old. It was just what they did. If I hung out in the hall for a few minutes afterwards, I'd see that they were playing with their friends. Don't second guess yourself. Julia will be fine.

Thanks for the thought heyitsmamac! Sorry you're so busy. I miss you!
And yeah ssm everything is going okay. They have been concerned because I've been measuring way behind and the baby is consistently 2 weeks behind. But actually I say that with a smile because the U/S today showed he's tracking and is STILL only 2 weeks behind. So that's actually good news. Also my fluid held at 12 so WAHOO.
On the funny side, the U/S tech mis-typed my AFI into my chart in their computer system. She put 1.84 instead of 12.84. My MW came storming into my room freaking out because she thought she was sending me to L&D. She called me a trouble maker and I was all confused. It took her a good 10 mins to calm down and finish my appointment once we got it sorted out. I'm like lady if my AFI was 1.84 you would have heard screaming and crying from the U/S lab because I am NOT ready to have a baby today! So that was entertaining.
Aaaaannnyyyyway I'm at the office now.
sleepymonkey Hugs to you. Transition to DC is definitely difficult, but your LO will get there. FWIW we did just jump in and went straight from FT maternity leave to FT DC for Haden. I feel like it was easier on everyone. But do what works for your family and LO will adjust! She'll grow to love it. Haden looks forward to DC now.
Sorry. This is one of my longest posts in recent history. My cube mates probably think I'm actually working on something since I'm typing so much.

pearsforpoops Good news on the fluid! So if baby consistently measures behind, do they remain concerned the whole time? At some point, you would think that the consistency *might* be a good thing...
At this point, pearsforpoops, are they saying your EDD is 2 weeks later? or leaving it as it? you mentioned a c/s in another post (i was stalking you because i was worried. )

They've never changed my EDD, which is technically 3/8 based on LMP. My RCS is scheduled for 3/3, and I guess they're fine with it. Since Haden was so small but healthy, they have decided I just grow small babies.
And yeah thesportsgal - basically at this point they are not so worried about him being small but are paying attention to his growth curve to make sure he maintains his consistency. So I have to have a NST & U/S both next week and the following week before my RCS just to keep an eye on him and make sure he keeps up. If he starts to fall behind or my fluid drops like it did last time, they'll take him early.

I see. I was sent to the hospital with low fluid at 40W3D. They thought they'd be doing emergency c section but by the time we got there, she "perked up" enough for an induction. But it was crazy to see the loss of fluid in just 2 days time!
She was only 6 LB 15 oz too. So not THAT small, but a peanut . I think I grow small babies too. I'm trying to figure out how in the hell to grow 2 bigger ones now!

Agree! Like how can this fluid just disappear so quickly without me noticing?!
Will they do extra U/S for you this time anyway since it's twins? I'd assume yes?
pearsforpoops Twins get an US every time since you can't tell heart beat differences through the doppler. So each appt will start with a quick scan.
For me, this was one of the perks of twin pregnancy. We have sooo many US pics of the twins. I was a little sad about not getting peeks of LO at every appointment the second time around.
thesportsgal, Do you have Barbara Luke's book on multiples? She has some good suggestions about gaining weight and meal suggestions to pack in extra protein.
