Morning! This is my last week on maternity leave, next week we start the transition to daycare. Today we're going swimming and to get a haircut for lo. His first one!!
Good morning! I'm waiting for C to wake up so I can bring him to MIL so I can head to the office/shop for a couple hours. Normally he's already awake or I would have woke him up at 7 but he seems so peaceful and he had a busy day at the zoo yesterday. It was hot, there were way to many people for me and all C wanted to do was walk in the wrong direction but we still had fun. Today is work quick grocery run then home for laundry and cleaning the house.
I have to run some errands and head to physical therapy today. I'm hoping to run to the grocery store after pt without LO so I can just go in and out. We're going through a particularly hard bout of separation anxiety now, though, so we'll see how she is for my H.
Morning! We had a busy, but productive weekend of packing. Moving day is officially set for Thursday into my parents' house, and Friday for the movers to get our stuff for storage. This week is going to fly by, I think.
But first... repeat ultrasound this afternoon. I'm scared, but still hoping for the best. Please, please, PLEASE let there be a beautiful strong heartbeat today!
Good luck today jillywilly! FX you get to hear that heartbeat!!
Boring Monday over here. Just work and then the gym tonight. Hopefully I'm productive today and can get caught up on some projects. I've seriously been slacking at work lately. Time to plug in the headphones and get back to the grind!
I'm getting a tooth removed today. Pretty nervous about it. I'm a huge baby for pain. Nothing else really other than I'm exhausted because J was up ever half hour to an hour last night. Happy Monday.
I'm setting my mind to it that we're starting weaning this week. I am terrified. DD is such an emotional child, and still likes to nurse like a newborn. But since my period still has not arrived and my H and I want to jump on the TTC train, it seems weaning is the only option left. Seriously, send some good vibes my way please.
Week 2 of Whole30, glad to have made it through the weekend! They are always my downfall but H and I powered through this time. It's nice to have him in this with me:)
We had a super busy weekend, looking forward to a quiet week:)
jillywilly hope so much you get to see/hear the heartbeat l! blueskiessmiling good luck with the translation! ashbash hope it goes well!! Good luck all around!
Rainy rainy Monday here. Will get to the city today to run some errands and probably check out the new indoor playground, it looks pretty awesome for the kids!

Good luck today jillywilly!! Will be thinking all the positive thoughts for you today.
Just another Monday here, at work. Chopping my hair off tomorrow, just need to decide with or without side bangs.
M has about 6 teeth coming out at once - can't wait for them to come out so he can feel better. We are also pointing now- at the TV among other things to request cartoons. I've created an Elmo monster.
And to summarize a couple of last week's randoms for me.
Monday-travel to the lake. Get about 20 minutes from home, so balls ass windy a latch pops off the camper that helps to hold the roof down, and it starts to flip up, shit! Good news: 2 minutes out of the biggest town we'll pass the whole way. Bad news: it's a provincial holiday and everywhere I am calling is closed. Abandon the camper on the highway, cross some fingers, and find ratchet straps at the nearest gas station. Crisis, averted! Then I had to document our first breakdown adventure.
They think my hair looks funny in the wind. poof Backing H back up to the hitch. Can't see.
All week: If DS was playing at the edge of our campsite any random person who would walk by he would stand up and wave and say "hi!! I'm campin'!!". He also would occasionally call out to vehicles driving by "hi!! Are you going campin too??!"
All in all, it was a great trip, I could probably go on and on and HDBD is going to be a big photo album and picture summary so I guess I'll leave it at that haha, just wanted to tell a couple stories!
4 day week for me since I'm taking off Friday to go to New Orleans for our anniversary. We're staying in a hotel right in the middle of the French Quarter, walking distance to everything. I can't wait to eat and drink all the things.
Aaaaand I just got call for an interview next Friday. It's for a job that would require us moving, so it'd have to be a super good offer for me to take it, but I guess I might as well see if it's a good fit.
I hope everything looks great today jillywilly! Good luck blueskiessmiling. Weaning is so much harder than I'd thought it would be. E is devastated any time I tell him no, and he still has 3-5 sessions a day. Good luck with the dental stuff today pghtruelove and @jemomma. Tooth issues suck.

Having a family morning this morning which I'm looking forward to, no in-laws, just the four of us. We're taking LBB to a Jr. Ranger presentation to get his Jr. Ranger badge.
We had a pretty great weekend. Saturday I was able to see a couple of my old roommates. On Sunday, I won a Julia (!!!) while we were on the way to church, and then at church I saw another old roommate and we signed up for a class together. It's been really lonely not having friends nearby anymore, so I'm very excited that she is living here again. Today is just E and I hanging out. He still hates to practice standing or walking, but he is getting really good at responding to things I tell him. I asked before breakfast if he wanted a new diaper, and he immediately crawled straight to the bedroom and his changing pad.
carrots She's doing good so far, they're keeping her super busy visiting everyone. We FaceTimed her every night she's been gone and she looks like she's having fun. And baby-free weekend was pretty awesome. Except for the part where I spread 25 bags of mulch by myself.
jillywilly will be thinking of you, report back ASAP!
blueskiessmiling good luck and I hope it's not as terrible as you're expecting!
I'm easing back into work this week while the lady I'm nannying for does the same. I'm working full days (8-6) today and Wednesday. The sweet little 4-month-old baby is napping...I forgot how much down time there is when you have an infant! Next week I start full time, 3 days per week from 8a-6p. I am a little sad that they are such long days but I think it will be good for me and Hayley to have a little time apart. Plus long days mean I get 2 full days off every week to spend with her!
jillywilly, all the fingers crossed for you. Please update us when you can.
To all who have dentist appointments, so sorry. They blow.
Just need to get through the day today. I'm so tired. Also, DH totally got screwed over at his job this last week. I don't want to get into the details, but they essentially slapped him in the face. When he came home and told me, I asked him, Well, what do you want to do? He says he wants to stay until the baby is born in January, so he can qualify for his 6 week paid leave. And then he said he wants to use some of his leave to try and find a new job, something outside of the restaurant industry.
You guys don't understand. This would be HUGE! He would have a normal schedule. We would have nights and weekends together. And holidays! This would be massive. I really hope he decides that's the path he wants to take and is able to!!
carrots , I plan on doing bunk beds for my boys too but not for a long, long time. I think there is a better solution in the meantime. What about something like this? (IKEA)
We had a really busy weekend. On top of a million other activities, I also bought these:
And they work GREAT! We had such fun! As I was filling them DS was saying things like "mom, I am SO happy to do this!" and "I've wanted this for such a long time!" (he's been seeing the commercials). It was melting my heart!
