So I made a goal today of cutting out extra sugar today. I was doing great until hunger struck an hour ago. Then I shared cookies with DH...and Cheetos. I don't normally eat junk food. Dieting fail.
Not planning to work out yet aside from maybe walking and yoga.
See above. I would say balancing weight loss but ensuring enough calories in the day to avoid starvation in the evening is my challenge.
I plan to make tuna wraps for lunch with low carb wheat tortillas, tuna, lettuce and a little shredded cheese. Not much of a recipe but it's something different for me.
1. It's going. I'm still not sure if I lost 10lbs in ONE week of weight watchers or over 5 weeks. So I am really excited for my next weigh in this Thursday. It could be that I lost 10lbs before I even started WW and if that is the case, I will be sad 2. I walk a MINIMUM of 10K steps/day and do a 7min work out M-F. I plan on adding more squats into my day as they are apparently VERY important for pelvic floor strength. I start PT in a couple of weeks and I am very excited to get my core/pelvis in shape! 3. Challenges: Mentally, I have to be strong. It's actually REALLY helping me that dairy and soy are out of the question because that eliminates A LOT of sweets! 4. I made roasted zucchini for lunch: Cut in half and quarter zuchini, place in bowl with olive oil, kosher salt, crushed pepper, garlic and onion powder and a little bit of rosemary. Mix it all so everything is coated evenly. Place on silicone baking mat and bake at 400 for 8-10min. Now I just need a protein on the side!
I've been at the lake since last Sunday which has been good for not obsessing about the scale because I can't weight myself. I should probably have DH hide my scale so I don't obsess about it. Food wise I've been so much better than I could have been at the lake with all the junk food and booze. I doubt I've been good enough to lose weight this week though. We'll see tomorrow when I step on the scale.
I was good about walks before the rest of my extended family came up to the lake. Will get back into my routine when we get home. I need to go to Pilates this week.
Challenges are the late night munchies. I think I need to do a little late night routine of no eating past a certain time for 5 days to get better at this. My cravings are insane at night.
I've doing a low carb healthy fat way of eating and my latest good recipe was tuna melts on tomato halves from Skinnytaste. So yummy.
DS (our little Clomid miracle) born Sept. 25, 2012 Baby #2 lost at 8w3d on March 4, 2015 (EDD Oct. 11, 2015) Baby #3 lost at 5w2d on April 16, 2015 (EDD Dec. 15, 2015) Baby #4 lost at 4w1d on May 20, 2015 (EDD Jan. 25, 2016) DS2 (our little rainbow miracle) born May 25, 2016
Weight loss number wise isn't awesome. I lost a little, then gained it back and am starting to lose again but at a super slow pace.
Exercise is going great. Having a gym membership for a little over $100 per month really puts the pressure on me to use it. DH would be pissed if I was 'wasting' that money by not going. Also having childcare helps.
My challenge is my evening/nighttime snacking. I have no willpower and mindlessly shove food into my mouth once the kids go to sleep.
Tonight I am making some sort of healthy chicken dish but I'm not sure yet.
mrssqueegy, tuna melts are my favorite thing ever.
1.) How is the weight loss going? GOOD! -8 on whole 30 #1, +2 for my birthday (not sorry), and -2 so far on whole 30 #2 At this rate, I'll be back to my pre preg weight after this one and one more. I can do that.
2.) How is your exercise routine this week? Haha. yeah. I go to yoga once a month. I'm building a fence and carrying heavy boards around and contorting/squatting under fence rails/balancing on a steep hill. Does that count?
3.) Challenges? I stress eat like woah, so having a stressful few days has been a huge challenge bc I am craving allllll the crappy food. I find major comfort in junk food.
4.) Share a good recipe you plan to cook this week! Stuffed peppers w/ cauliflower rice! We made it a few weeks ago. Not the easiest to make, but is filling, delicious, and reheats well for leftovers! We made it with beef instead of turkey te first time since turkey was on the menu for later that week. It was so good we are going to do beef again. www.stayfitmom.com/paleo-stuffed-peppers/
2. Exercise is great this week! I've gotten in two runs (one pushing DD!) and 3 days of 30/shred. I feel great! (Side note, DD thinks getting to run is a reward for good behavior. She loves it! I usually let her out so she can run the last quarter mile or so. Before I got pregnant, she was regularly run/walking a mile or so!)
3. Snacking. And diet soda. I bought the tiny cans at the store, so hopefully that helps!
4. Cook? Me? I hate cooking. (Side note: snoris, the only thing I've cooked recently beyond simple pasta is those peppers. They're delish! I have to put some real rice in DHs and he doesn't even question if there's veggies in it!)
WW ladies, chime in, especially if you are nursing. Do you eat ALL of your extra nursing points? I get 52 DAILY points for exclusevely nursing. If I weren't nursing I would get 30 points! I feel like it is A LOT extra??? I gained weight this week despite feeling like I had a GREAT week and even being more vigilant about tracking cooking with olive oil. The WW lady said I should give it at least one more week.
I also ordered a scale bc the one in my gym (in our building which is where I usually weigh in) states I gained 3lbs this week. I'm tired of dealing with an "analog" gym scale. I need a digital one!

I get within 8-10 pts of hitting mine usually. Sometimes I hit my points and sometimes I don't quite get there but I'm hungry and like to eat and if I have extra, I burn it on wine.

I don't do WW, but I do track calories to make sure I'm eating enough.. Somedays I have 250-500 leftover. I also figure I'm a sloth for most of the day. The calories will adjust as more tracking is done. (I use an old school program that I've been using since 2003..)
Also, if you're eating more healthily, you're probably getting more.. Ahem.. Bulk that may not have made its way out yet. And double (quadruple) check that you're getting enough water, since you'll need it to digest all the roughage I assume you're getting. Yay poop!

My husband suggested the exact same. But I drink close to 300oz of water already and walk 10K steps daily in addition to a 7min work out. One thing is for sure: I can cut down on the wine!!! And I am just going to keep in mind that I am making healthy choices when I eat. The weight will come off slowly. Slow and steady wins the race!!
babycaps, don't buy a scale. Buy a measuring tape. (a) cheaper, (b) in my mind, it's a better idea of how you're doing. (A lot of people judge based on how their clothes fit, but mine change depending on when they were last washed.. and then I do laundry again, and suddenly my jeans aren't fitting loosely anymore!

That's a great idea on measuring. I will find my measuring tape (I know I have one that came with my first WW kit) and have DH help me measure tonight!! I've never done measurements before....but I think it will be....good?!

Sloooow - but steady I guess? Losing about a pound to a pound and a half a week.
2.) How is your exercise routine this week? Pretty much non-existent. I've been jogging and doing the elliptical at the gym because my knee has been hurting.
3.) Challenges?
Just finding time.
4.) Share a good recipe you plan to cook this week!
We get a paleo meal box delivered with 5 meals and recipes for the week. I used to really like to meal plan but now don't have time/mental energy for it
