1. When can I start wiping myself again? It's now been 3 weeks and I am still using the little water squirt bottle and dab dry method. I got over ten stitches and they are feeling much better now but still unsure when I can go back to wiping lol.
2. He soaks us both when he eats. He will suck for a minute and pull away and it dribbles all over both of us before he relatches. I can't wear nursing tanks or anything because it runs down the boob and soaks it. I would love to nurse in bed or the couch (or outside the house) but I always have to sit in my glider with 3 towels! I'm sure it's overactive letdown but the LC told me not to pump or express first and just let him get accustomed to it. Ugh...any tips??
3. He screams in his sleep. Not just a cute little baby yelp but like a weightlifter picking up weights grunting scream. The doc said it's gas and it's normal but I feel so bad for him. He can't be getting solid sleep like that (not to mention it keeps me up all night). Drops and gripe water don't seem to help. Any tips? Is it normal?

1. Sorry, c-section mom here so no help.
2. I have a friend who would tuck a straight up towel over her bra or nursing tank. She also had a huge blanket that was as absorbent as a towel on her couch so she could nurse. Basically - go buy all the absorbent things and tuck them where you need to. Also know that this too shall pass. One day he won't unlatch. One day your supply will regulate. One day getting out of the house will seem easy.
3. It is normal. Or rather, it is one variant on normal. As long as he isn't waking up, let him be is my advice - which is way hard when you are an FTM I know. Pretty sure it will still be hard as a 3TM. It should pass between 12 and 16 weeks according to my pediatrician and my experience. For many babies it peaks between 6 and 8 weeks and starts getting better after.
The newborn noisies are the second reason our kids move to the nursery very early on (the first reason is that they are such light sleepers that we start waking them up before they are a month old).
Also I wouldn't really worry about your newborn getting solid sleep. I don't think newborn sleep can ever be described as "solid," not even with an angel baby.

1) I started dabbing/lightly wiping at about 10 days pp, because I felt a LOT better at that point (also had 2nd degree tear). I think just try it--carefully--and see how it goes.
1. I didn't have any stitches so not sure. This time they told me to squirt and dab until I stop bleeding--no. LOL. I started wiping as normal around day 4 and my lady bits feel fine.
2. Ugh, I'm so sorry, OALD is the pits. When I nurse in bed, I lay us both on a towel. It helps. And I understand feeling like you can't nurse in public. I probably change my shirt 5 times a day right now and I don't really even have that bad of an OALD this time. With DS1 it was fierce and I was soaked all the time.
3. Is he burping well enough for you after eating? OALD nurslings especially will gulp a lot of air. Another thing you can try is laying him down and bicycling his legs to try to help the gas move through.
I have a question to add. Has anyone's PP bleeding completely stopped and then started up again? I am 2 weeks PP and started bleeding (a lot) again today.

Mine after DD2 stopped and then resumed as random spotting for a very, very long time (I forget how many months now) after DD2. My OB did not seem to think that was a problem, but I was seriously worried about what it meant about my hormones.
That said, any chance it could be the return of AF? Retained tissue? Can't hurt to get it checked out.

Mine's been weird this time around. By 1 or 2 days PP, it was really just spotting. I thought/hoped that might be it, but it's fluctuated quite a bit since then, including a couple days where it stopped, and then started back up again the next day.

If PP bleeding picks back up or stops then starts, supposedly it means that you are overdoing it physically. But....with 3 kids, I'm not sure how much less I could be doing
1. I would start slowly and just say whenever you feel okay. I had stitches with my first but I don't remember how long it was until I wiped.
2. I also have crazy overactive letdown. It sucks, but it does tend to even out even if it's still a lot. I use the super thick breastpads, sit on a towel, and have a towel over boppy. I also hold onto a blanket/thick burp cloth and immediately get ready to hold it over my boob when he unlaches. At least until he comes back to it.
3. Yeah, a lot of newborns are loud/obnoxious when they're sleeping. We don't roomshare very long because everyone gets better sleep once we move baby out. I would typically say normal.
