Hi ladies! I'm always fascinated by where we all come from to come together in this little corner of the Internet. GTKY time! Feel free to be as generic or specific as you are comfortable with (in the northeast vs Boston, etc...).

Where do you live now?

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

For me:

I'm in Georgia.

I grew up in Georgia (about 20 miles from where I am now) but left for college.

If I could live anywhere, it would probably be Paris.

Live anywhere? Stealing from callmeKD, but probably Maui. Otherwise, I am pretty happy here which is really why I came back home after college.

(I did leave for 4 years- went to school for 4 years at Miami of Ohio outside of Cincinnati, and then my H and I lived for 8 years in DT Chicago- which is also where I went to law school)

Where I live now: Metro Detroit
Where I grew up: Metro Detroit, though fun fact - I was born in Germany. My family immigrated when I was about a year and a half old.
Anywhere I want to live: I honestly am really happy where I'm at. I'd say the tropics, but honestly, I'd miss the changing seasons. Sometimes I think it would be fun to go back and live in Germany close to my extended family.

I grew up in central PA, about an hour east of where I live now.

I'd love to live in Annapolis. It's my favorite little city.

I grew up all over the Midwest - Indianapolis, St. Louis, Columbus, Milwaukee until 8th grade when we moved to NC

I'd love to live in Boston. DH is from up north (Vermont) and would also love to live in Boston.

I live in (rural) Eastern Colorado

I grew up in Salt Lake City, first in the suburbs until I was 14, then we moved further out so we could have horses.

I would love to live in the mountains, anywhere in and or near the mountains. I grew up surrounded by mountains. I went to school in Logan, that was right on the edge of the mountains. Then I went to Jackson Hole, and worked in the mountains.

Now, I live on the plains. We can't even see the mountains where we live. (Also, Utahns pronounce it Mow-uns)

I grew up in Nebraska, Michigan, and Iowa (mostly NE though).

I'm not really sure where I'd like to live. I love Hawaii, but I'm not sure if I could live there. Maybe just somewhere with mountains and/or ocean.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Honestly, at this point in my life, I would like to be back near our family in Central Ohio. We were there for 4 years before coming to Florida and I miss having family close.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Probably the West Coast - I love beaches, mountains and greenery. For the ladies who want to live in Maui, my best friend did for 8 years! I visited her every winter, sometimes a few times each winter! It was awesome, but life seems to stand still there a little.

Where did you grow up? Northeast Ohio - small town no one has ever heard of that is about 80 miles south of Cleveland (Go Cavs, Browns and Indians!!)


If you could live anywhere, where would it be? I don't like weather that is too hot or too cold so maybe San Diego? I really love Charleston, SC though.

Talk about a small world. My grandma married an American and stayed in Germany a while. So my mom and grandma are German. I have extended family there too that we see pretty often.

I would live in the Boston area. Spent two years in Cambridge and LOVED it. Miss it all the time. We would move back but our families still live in the NW so we will settle there in a few years.

I grew up in Alaska! I now live in New Mexico. I've also lived in Oklahoma and DC. If I could live anywhere I'd probably pick Denver. It's like Alaska-light.

Where did you grow up? See above. I left for college, got a job back here, left again, then moved back a few years ago.

Live anywhere: Somewhere warm in the winter and then Ann Arbor, Michigan in the spring/summer. DH and I would love to move back, but only if we don't have to live there in the winter!

Where did you grow up? NH...about 20 mins from where I live now.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be? I'd love to visit plenty of places but..honestly, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! Sure, the winters can be a bit brutal, but the other seasons more than make up for it. Plus, I'm within an hour+/- of anywhere I'd want to go (Boston, Portland ME, the ocean, etc), why move away from this!? (PS, everyone saying they love Boston, come visit! )
