Any challenges? Anything getting easier? Challenges are wanting her to sleep and considering working on night weaning. Except I don't want my period back so I don't want to cut back at all. Lol.
Any questions for the other mamas? No?
What's your BF/ Pumping goal length of time? Definitely a year and then we will see from there.
Any changes due to solids intro? How many solids a day? I give solids when I remember. She sleeps through our breakfast so she typically gets something with lunch and then a decent dinner. She definitely nurses less, probably every three hours now. Positive stories to tell about breastfeeding or pumping or bottle feeding? Bottles, ha. No. She will not take one. Thankfully she has decided this nubby penguin sippy I bought her is awesome. She takes milk or water from it and/or any rants?
How is it going? Breastfeeding is awesome. My pumping output is good but...
Any challenges? Anything getting easier? ... I think I have a lipase issue. And DD won't take a bottle (she also refused a pacifier). I don't care enough to try and fix it at this point. I'm hoping one time I'll be out and she'll be starving and take one.
Any questions for the other mamas? No.
What's your BF/ Pumping goal length of time? BF: two years unless we naturally wean earlier. Pumping: 9mos or as soon as she can take WCM.
Any changes due to solids intro? How many solids a day? Not that I can tell. She eats like her brother. We're at 6tbsp cereal, 3 protein, 6 veg a day. She doesn't always eat it all, but some days she does. Tomorrow she starts fruit.
Positive stories to tell about breastfeeding or pumping or bottle feeding? I love that I've gotten really comfortable with it. I was nursing watching DS's swim lessons on the weekend and a little girl in the stands asked her grandma what we were doing and her grandmother told her that I was feeding my baby. It makes me happy that will be part of her understanding of BFing.
and/or any rants? DD is nipping again. damn teething pains.
Any challenges? Anything getting easier? - I'm pumping 3 times a day now, and sometimes I wish it was just twice. I always get more pumping 3 times though.
Any questions for the other mamas? - Do you plan to night wean? If so, when? We generally just nurse once overnight now. His pediatrician said that's within the range of normal but also that he doesn't need to eat overnight if I don't want him to. Also, how many times does your LO eat nowadays? Generally, we nurse when he wakes up at about 6 or 6:30, then he gets bottles (3.5-4 oz) and I pump at 10:30, 1:30, and 4, then we nurse at 5:30 when I get home, then around 8 before bed, then overnight around 2 am. I don't think he eats much at all at the 5:30 feed though, and I'm thinking that solids might someday replace that meal. A lot of times on weekends he only eats 6 times per day instead of 7.
What's your BF/ Pumping goal length of time? - I'd like to bf for at least a year, but I'm not opposed to going longer.
Any changes due to solids intro? How many solids a day? - Not yet. We just barely started solids and he doesn't really eat them yet.

How is it going? Great!
Any challenges? Anything getting easier? Challenges are just how distractible DD is these days. It's super hard to nurse in public. She usually takes a few sips and wants to look around. Rinse and repeat until I finally give up. Also, night nursing. I should night wean but that's going to be a lot of effort and I just don't have the energy for it.
Any questions for the other mamas? Nope
What's your BF/ Pumping goal length of time? 12-18 months depending on her.
Any changes due to solids intro? How many solids a day? We are doing BLW so solids aren't going to be a huge part of her nutrition until closer to a year. She sits down with us at dinner and I give her things to taste/try. On weekends I might break out some yogurt mixed with fruit. But her diet is still 98% BM.
Positive stories to tell about breastfeeding or pumping or bottle feeding? I have a friend who is exclusively pumping for her twins. I'm in awe. Her goal is to go to a year.

I should add that I plan to continue to let LO nurse once overnight for the foreseeable future because it's easier to feed him for 10 min than to let him CIO in the middle of the night, and nothing else puts him back to sleep. But, as if he knew I typed that post yesterday, he slept from about 8pm - 6am for the first time ever. I'm sure it won't happen again, but AMAZING!
